Peace, luxury and fishing under 100 year old oaks

My family and I stayed for the weekend. We enjoyed the house very clean and spacious. We enjoyed the fishing on the deck and the kayaking. We will definitely be return to this place. We got lost and the host was very helpful and friendly guiding us to find the place. He answered his phone late at night for me to help me with the directions. This place is very family friendly.

The host was very kind and accommodating, and I appreciated the flexibility with early check-in and check-out.However, the property itself could benefit from significant maintenance and a deep clean. The outdoor furniture was unusable, and the dock had some safety concerns, including missing boards and exposed nails. The interior also showed signs of wear. Some furniture appeared aged and heavily used, and there was visible staining on the living room furniture. The mattress cover on the king bed was brown.On a positive note, the linens were clean and smelled fresh, which was appreciated. With attention to deep cleaning, updating some furniture, and addressing outdoor maintenance, this property could be much more comfortable and polished for future guests.

Picture perfect home suitable for families. Such a tranquil escape, especially if you're accustomed to fast paced lifestyle. The view is serene, the sounds of birds and nature, the fishing is excellent- we caught and cooked trout and red drum. Dollar General is 2 minutes away and actually very convenient. They have almost everything you need for topping up. The hosts were very reaponsive and warm but gave you space and independence at the same time. You were free to make it your home.away from home. We definitely plan to book again for a future staycation!

This house was just what we needed! The master bedroom draws you in. It was nicely decorated and all of the rooms had plenty of room. My husband and kids spent 95% of the time fishing from the backyard. They actually caught fish and a few crabs and possibly a shrimp lol. There was a possum that clearly lived on the property but he/she just walked around at not bothering anyone. We need him Fred ;) We loved and recommend this property!
