About this cabin rental
A mountain cabin in the heart of Valtellina, ideal for families and couples who want to relax amid the tranquility and fresh air that our valley offers. The name of the cabin is inspired by the shy fox that brightens guests’ stays with its evening visits to the garden in search of company.
The house was built entirely from high-quality materials (wood and stone) and crafted by hand in our family’s carpentry shop.
The interior of the house is divided into two floors: on the first floor, you’ll find the kitchen (equipped with a stove, oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, wine cooler, and all the kitchen utensils you’ll need) and the living room/dining area with a large wooden table, a L-shaped sofa, and a television—perfect for relaxing by the warmth of the wood-burning fireplace. On the same floor, you’ll also find the bathroom, equipped with large and small towels, and the pantry where you can store food and drinks.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms: one with two bunk beds, one with a double bed that opens onto the panoramic terrace, and one with a French bed (one-and-a-half-person bed).
The spacious private outdoor garden features a table under a canopy and a table with a gazebo for enjoying outdoor lunches and dinners, perhaps cooked on the stone barbecue. The house also offers lounge chairs, sunbeds, and a beach umbrella for relaxing in the sun, as well as various recreational options, including a double swing and a ping-pong table. All of this is complemented by a romantic view of the Orobie Alps and the Valtellina valley floor.
Just outside the property, there are countless destinations in every direction for nature excursions—ranging from a simple, safe path through the greenery for a quick stroll to longer trails leading to mountain peaks for the more adventurous.
The house is equipped with Wi-Fi and free parking. Additionally, the host is available to pick up guests from the town of Sondrio, especially if they do not have their own transportation to reach the house. Check-in and check-out times are flexible and can be arranged.
