Just steps to the beautiful, semi-private beach, and walking distance or a short bike ride to the restaurants and shops in Coligny Plaza, 18 Pelican St. offers the perfect HIlton Head vacation spot.. Situated on a large private lot at the end of a cul-de-sac, there is plenty of room for your party to spread out. The fenced in rear yard features a 12x24 saltwater pool (can be heated October-April for a fee) with a tanning ledge, lounge chairs, dining table, gas grill, and lush landscaping that offers partial shade. Inside you will find 3 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths, all on one level. The primary features an en-suite bath, bedrooms 2 and 3 share a jack and jill bath, and a powder room that is accessed from the hallway.
The open kitchen / dining area has seating for 12, plenty of pantry space, and is well equipped for feeding a crowd. Spacious and comfortable living room area. Access the pool from the bright and cheery sunroom, which offers a separate seating area, a futon sleeper, as well as washer/dryer access.
Bonus is the detached garage which houses ping pong and foosball tables, and all the beach equipment and toys. And above, is the 4th bedroom, with 2 twin beds and a king, along with an en-suite full bath, providing plenty of flexible sleeping space.

This was our second year at this property. The pool and location is fabulous, beautiful, and wonderful at Forest Beach. The owner, Betsy, is extremely responsive. We wish there were more bedrooms inside the house for our family as apartment above the garage is spacious but maybe better for older kids or a separate family. This home is a terrific value with a flexible and helpful host.

The setup was perfect for us (3 couples, plus a toddler and a baby). There was plenty of space to lounge and eat together. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We cooked most meals in. The kitchen was fully functional and well stocked. The yard and pool were private and comfortable. When we arrived, there were a lot of pine needles on the pool deck but the deck is cleaned twice each week, so I think the needles come with the privacy. The beach that was an easy walk from the house was beautiful and not crowded. We used the cart, umbrellas, chairs, and towels all supplied by the host. There were also floaters and toys left by other guests. We were so entertained that we almost didn’t get a chance to enjoy the garage-converted game room. We played some competitive foosball and ping pong on our last night. We hope to come back again!

We had an amazing stay. There was a small issue with the cleaning crew being there when we arrived at check in time, but Betsey was AMAZING communicating with us and made it right. Great location, great pool and plenty of space. Absolutely would stay again!

Fantastic location with short walk to beach. Beautiful quiet part of the island. Great comfortable family space - highly recommend.
