Williams Barn

We loved the space in the house and the huge beautiful gardens. Thought you should make more of the gardens really - fabulous for the children and dogs. We also liked the Wheatsheaf pub across the road and ate there twice - very reasonably priced for north Norfolk. The beds were really comfortable with lovely linen. Close to coast, NT properties and lovely towns and countryside. An excellent place to celebrate my birthday with family. A swimming pool would have made it perfect - there used to be one apparently!

Terrible wifi. Only 12 MB which given the number of people using it is insufficient. KItchen TV hopeless and we couldn’t use it because linked to wifi. We appreciate that its a rural area but surely something could be done to upgrade the WIFI? House a bit creaky but I guess there’s not much you can do about that given the age of the barn…. Kitchen utensils and equipment needs a good sort out - all jumbled up in different cupboards. I appreciate it was the end of a very busy summer season. Although we found most of what we needed eventually we couldn’t find a measuring jug or weighing scales. Can you not turn the AGA off during the summer? - not too bad in our week but the kitchen must have been unbearable in previous very hot weeks? Seems such a waste of energy. Key safe needs replacing. It was very difficult to open and we didn’t use it after the first day. The cleaners knew about it.

Well equipped and comfortable. Lovely, extensive and enclosed gardens. Nearby friendly pub and well located for North Norfolk coast.

The house has wooden flooring throughout and they were very slippery especially on the stairs. Had few falls. Door handles to bathrooms coming off and to one of bedrooms. Toilet to main bedroom leaked. Can see in to one of bedrooms from the upstairs bedrooms as there is a window in it. Aga is on all the time and it gets so hot. Window locks broken.
