Casa nel verde !!!

Gorąco polecam. Bardzo gościnni właściciele. Miejsce z klimatem, z widokiem na morze. Obiekt bardzo zadbany z pięknymi roślinami. Pomimo tego, że dotarliśmy po północy - gospodarz czekał na nas. Polecam zamówić u Niego przepyszne domowe wyroby oraz wino. Pieszo można dojść do autentycznego włoskiego miasteczka, wspiąć na zamek z przepięknym widokiem. Polecamy również restaurację w najwyższym punkcie miasteczka.

The house sits above the coast, surrounded by green hills and fresh air, and is several degrees cooler than the beaches below. The views across the valley to the sea are spectacular. The house itself is spacious, spotlessly clean, and comfortable, with large bedrooms, excellent beds, plenty of storage space, and wonderful views across the valley towards the sea. It comfortably accommodates families or small groups while retaining the warmth and character of a family home. What truly sets Casa Nel Verde apart, however, is the welcome. Francesco and Beatrice are exceptional hosts who make guests feel less like customers and more like friends. Their generosity, warmth and pride in their region are evident in everything they do. If you arrive and are wondering where to eat, speak to Francesco. He prepared for us an incredible board of cured meats and Calabrian delicacies, many of them produced by him. It was one of the highlights of the trip. We also tasted his homemade red and white wines, both amazing. Falconara Albanese is a charming village with narrow streets, beautiful walks, stunning viewpoints and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. We even got lost on one walk and ended up being welcomed onto someone's property and offered homemade wine! There is not a huge amount happening in late May, which was part of its charm. We spent our time wandering through the quiet streets, chatting to locals and exploring the surrounding hills. We climbed up to the Castelluccio and the Byzantine church, where we were rewarded with breathtaking views over the rooftops and the hilly countryside. What struck me most about Falconara Albanese was the friendliness of the people. Nobody seemed suspicious of strangers. Quite the opposite. They wanted to know who we were, where we came from and whether we were enjoying their village. If you're looking for an authentic Calabrian experience away from the crowds, this is the place. I would happily return.

Coming from London, where everything is available almost at any time, it was strange to find no shops open on Sundays, but Francesco helped us with anything we needed.
