Great location and apartment was warm and comfortable. Communication with staff was also good.

It wasn’t clear where to dispose of rubbish

The apartments are conveniently located just a couple of minutes from Rainbow Street and the surrounding area, making them a perfect base for exploring downtown Reykjavík. There is also a Krónan supermarket right next door, which is very convenient. Everything worked perfectly during our stay.

The bedroom did get quite hot in the early morning when the sun shone directly through the windows, and apparently the underfloor heating cannot be adjusted. We had to open the windows to let some fresh air in. Nothing dramatic, but something worth being aware of.

The heaters/radiators had been set to their highest setting so when we arrived the place was quite literally like an oven. We had to open all the windows overnight in order to be there, which made it very loud in the early morning when the delivery vehicles were at the supermarket downstairs. Would appreciate 2 pillows per bed, especially as the pillows were very soft.

Overall, I liked the centrality of the location. Walking distance to everything we wanted to do in the city. I also liked that the apartment was very clean. The size of the apartment was adequate. It would have been nice if it were a little larger. On the photos, it did look larger, probably because the penthouse suites were featured in the photos, not the studios.

Well, I do not like the self serve hands off approach of the host. There was really no direction or no one to ask questions. There was an initial email sent with bare basic information. There were not enough bath towels given and no way to get more. We had to buy our own toilet paper. There were not enough spare rolls left. No tissues were provided, so buy your own when you get there. It was very hard to regulate the heat. One of the radiator units did not work. Apartment got too hot, so windows had to be left open, which was an issue at night because of so much loud outside noise (screaming, yelling, loud music playing). I am not sure where all of the loud noise was coming from, since we faced a parking garage. This happened every night we were there. Bring ear plugs. The shower hand held nozzle did not stay upright, making it difficult to shower without using the rain shower head. I tried making tea, but the mugs all had the taste of coffee when I used them for tea. The parking situation was a pain. There was always plenty of parking, but the parka app only allowed you to purchase 3 hours at a time, so I was constantly having to keep a timer on to alert me to renew the parking hours. The price was good, but I would not stay here again. I would pay a little more to have more amenities and services.
