Erik's Place

We were in Shköder for one night before our trip to the mountains. It was the perfect base - right above the supermarket, 5 minutes from the old town and 5 minutes from where most buses arrive / depart. The apartment was comfortable, with all we needed including air conditioning and wifi. Highly recommend for travellers passing through.

It was a little confusing to find. Follow the instructions and you’ll be okay. It is on the top floor of the building where the supermarket is - you need to go to the back alley to find the staircase. There is no signage but once you get to the top floor you’ll see a sign for Erik’s place

El apartamento era amplio y cómodo. Tenía dos habitaciones con camas separadas (1 matrimonio y 2 individuales) aire acondicionado en ambas habitaciones y en el salón, lavadora y un comedor bastante espacioso. La cocina era un poco pequeña, pero tenía lo necesario, y el baño era grande. También disponía de detalles útiles como plancha para el pelo. El check-in fue muy sencillo y nos dieron muchas facilidades para acceder al alojamiento. Además, ofrecen varias opciones de pago, incluso mediante transferencia bancaria, lo que nos resultó muy cómodo.

Las sartenes y las ollas no estaban del todo limpias. Además, la ducha no tragaba bien y el agua tardaba bastante en desaguar.

Very spacious, good facilities- everything you need, comfortable, really close to bus station

the apartment had a nice interior and was clean. there was an abundance of towels. it was spacious enough for 4 people and had a nice view from the balcony. we only stayed for one night so we didn’t use the kitchen but you could cook a meal there. also it was located near the centre and almost everything was within walking distance. the owner was polite and they also let us check in one hour before the check-in time.

the building is old and has no elevator so if you have a lot of luggage you need to carry them through 6 flights of stairs. the parking is listed as an amenity but there’s no designated parking space for the apartment. there is however public parking in the streets near the apartment, we just found it misleading as it was listed along the amenities. the worst part was the terrible, overwhelming, persistent smell coming from the pipes in the bathroom. it made it almost impossible for us to even use it. even with the bathroom door closed we could still sense a faint smell coming into the entire apartment. we understand it’s not exactly the owner’s fault but it made the whole experience less enjoyable for everyone.
