The location was amazing with a vista view of Oaxaca, yet within walking distance of the zocalo.

My room hovered just over a dirt lot below where stray dogs congregated. They barked and howled from 7pm to 1am on two of the nights I stayed. Not the fault of the property but the racket made it hard to sleep. Some issues with initial contact with the property, including finding the place and letting them know my bus was very late. That could’ve been a problem with the booking.com app though. My shower didn’t work but Carlos got it fixed quickly as soon as he knew about it. The power went out two nights in a row.

Quaint quarto with excellent view in a less touristy area of Oaxaca - though very near the centre. Carlos was an outstanding host, responsive with our questions and requests, and even offered us complimentary hot chocolate and local breads one morning.

Great staff, great location, safe and comfortable.

The attention from the staff was excellent, they went above and beyond to answer my questions and ensured I had a safe and comfortable stay. The location was great too, within walking distance of the centre in a quiet and safe spot.

L'enfer auditif au sommet d'une colline très excentrée

Logement très excentré et très bruyant : 7 chiens séjournent en dessous de la fenêtre, les coqs tout proches, le trafic routier dès 6 h du matin, les portes qui ne se ferment qu'en les claquant, la techno le samedi soir à l'auditorium, ajoutez à ceci l'envolée de 130 marches + montée, et, vous partirez d'ici épuisés et énervés :( Le petit balcon offre une superbe vue, la terrasse aussi, mais un coup de vent en a claqué la porte et me suis retrouvée bloquée là-haut ! La petite chambre, non adaptée pour 2 personnes, est munie de petits accessoires de cuisine qui simplifient la vie, la douche est tellement entartrée que seuls quelques petits jets s'en écoulent, rien pour poser les accessoires de toilette. Heureusement que Epifenia a quelques petits gestes de "cortesia" ! NB : ai réservé 6 nuits pour me reposer ; absolument aucun entretien n'est effectué, c'est à nous de le faire et de nous occuper des poubelles, et surtout de pas contredire "ces marchands de sommeil" invisibles, qui ne communiquent que via whatsapp, ou Booking s'ils se sentent vexés ! Bref, trouvez plus proche du centre et plus calme, fuyez cet endroit.
