Good location and good size.

Better with air conditioning. It’s very noisy when people walked past the main door where our unit is above.

There was no breakfast included or available at the apartment, so I can’t really rate it. The location of the apartment was absolutely fantastic — very central and convenient, right in the heart of everything. I really liked the size of the apartment and the amount of storage space — there was plenty of it. The kitchen was clean, and it was especially nice that the apartment had both a washing machine and a dryer. It was very convenient to be able to wash and dry our travel clothes during the stay.

For light sleepers, the central location may be a challenge. You can hear the street life until the last partygoers and tourists have gone to sleep. Unfortunately, our apartment was located directly above the entrance gate, and nobody seemed to be able to close it quietly. Every time someone came in or went out — and there were many people — the gate slammed shut extremely loudly. If I owned this accommodation, I would definitely invest in a soft-closing door mechanism or a damped door closer. It would make a huge difference for guests staying in that apartment. As Finns, we are used to a “cottage culture” where the previous guest often leaves small practical items behind, such as dish soap, laundry detergent and kitchen paper. In this apartment, we had to buy laundry detergent just for one wash. Although there was dish soap available, there was not a single kitchen towel for drying dishes. These are small things, but they would make the stay much more convenient for guests. The check-out instructions could have been clearer. Booking.com stated that check-out was at 10:00, but at that time we could not find anyone to hand the keys to. After looking around and waiting unnecessarily, we left the keys on the apartment table. We only found out afterwards that this was actually the correct procedure. It would have been much nicer to know this in advance, as it would have saved us the confusion and unnecessary waiting.

Some very noisey neighbours and you could hear party goers going home in the early hours , we didn’t get much sleep at all
