Hotel Shibari - Restaurant & Cenote Club

Magical cenote, beautiful room, loved the morning yoga, overall just a great set up.

The staff could be friendlier and more hospitable, but we found this to be a trend throughout Tulum.

The cenote is beautiful so is the hotel but the service and personnel is outstanding

Nothing to fault

The cenote is incredible! The room is super comfortable and the daily free yoga classes are a plus! The breakfast included was very tasty and filling. Staff is very welcoming and it’s super easy to communicate with.

The parking is very expensive (around 20 dollars). The music in the afternoon in the cenote area was too loud and not relaxing at all. I suggest that the tipping at the breakfast that’s included be revised, at least for Europeans, it makes no sense to give a tip for breakfast that’s already paid for. If you don’t have a car, be prepared that in the area everything is super expensive.

At check-in, we were greeted in English, so we naturally continued the conversation in English. Based on this, staff nearby appeared to assume we only spoke English and proceeded to speak about my husband and me in Spanish, within earshot and right up until the moment they greeted us to escort us to our room. It was clear, timed, and not a misunderstanding. As we began walking to the room, I calmly let the staff member know — in Spanish — that I had understood everything that was said. The reaction made it evident that this was unexpected. From that point on, the remainder of our stay felt noticeably strained. Staff interactions became minimal and uncomfortable, and basic assistance (such as helping us arrange a taxi) was no longer offered.
