With access to 3,000 acres of private woodland, hiking trails, waterfalls, and a peaceful lake, you'll feel worlds away while still being conveniently located to area favorites like Black Mountain, Lake Lure, and Asheville.

No parking is allowed on roadways or at gate entrances. No RVs, boat trailers, camping trailers, or trailers of any kind are permitted in the Gateway Mountain Community.

The cabin was beautiful and exactly as described. The drive up was steep, but we expect that so it was not a surprise. We loved being outside of Asheville in the more relaxed vibe of Old Fort.
Loved it so much we are looking for a home to move!

What a wonderful stay in a beautiful location near Asheville, Black Mountain, etc. The house was clean, well-equipped, and the communication was top-notch. We especially loved the hot tub and huge wood-burning fireplace. It was just what we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and enjoy some quiet and spectacular mountain views. The sunset from the hot tub is not to be missed.
