About this cabin rental
This newly built floating cabin sits on the backwaters of the Mississippi River. It’s 1970s mod design is unique and fun! This rental has 2 bedrooms with queen beds and a queen pull out couch. There is a full bathroom and a stocked kitchen.
Soak in the hot tub and take in the waterfront views all around. While there are other cabins around, you have your own walkway and no one connected to you!
Enjoy a kayak ride, or just relax on your floating deck.
This cabin was just built in 2023.
The livingroom has an electric fireplace and smart tv with a queen size pull out bed.
The kitchen has a propane stove (no oven), full size fridge, toaster, drip coffee pot, k cup style coffee pot, french press, pots, pans, and everything else you need to cook a meal. There are 4 barstools at the counter, and 2 more folding barstools located in the bedroom to bring out to make a total of 6.
Each bedroom has a queen pillowtop bed with sheets and one cotton blanket provided. (If you tend to get cold, please bring an extra blanket with you). There is also a 32 inch smart tv in each bedroom. You will store your bags under the bed.
Your private deck has a hot tub and 6 person dining set.
During kayaking season, your rental also comes with a free hour rental per guest.
PLEASE NOTE- We are located in a FLOOD ZONE, and there is always a possibility that we will have to cancel in the case of a natural disaster.
ALSO- We are DIRECTLY on the water, which means there WILL be bugs. The river is beautiful, but it is also home to many critters.

Great stay as usual. Third time in 2 years. Spent time in the hot tub watching the clouds go by and a heron fishing on the shore. Millenium Pub good food, drinks, and atmosphere. Galena and downtown Dubuque quick drive and lots to do if you can tear yourself away. Thank you for sharing your floating cabins on the mighty Mississippi.

We loved our stay! The cabin was very clean and cute. We ate at the marina one night and listened to live music. The location is very close to Dubuque and Galena. Plenty of things to do just a short drive away. If you’re prone to getting bit, load up on the bug spray as it is quite buggy but that is to be expected given the location and time of year. The owners were very responsive any time we reached out needing anything. We will definitely stay again and highly recommend to any of our friends and family!
