Let's do a good and bad breakdown.
The Good:
- It was very affordable
- The beds were comfy
- There was free onsite parking (a rarity with Liverpool hotels)
- The unmanned check-in/out process was simple.
The Bad:
- Very small room with pretty much no surfaces (have they never heard of bedside tables) meaning we had to put our food/drinks down either on the beds or the floor, neither of which are ideal options.
- The worlds smallest sink, that's not hyperbole, it was tiny, barely big enough for 1 hand. Meaning that to fill up the kettle you had to use mugs to relay the water.
- The stairs up to the 2nd floor were very steep and narrow, trying to carry my suitcase down in the morning when leaving nearly ended me!!
In Summary:
If you just want somewhere to crash out at the end of the day and don't intend to spend much time in the hotel then this is a solid option and at a great price, a taxi to the centre is around £10 which is a lot less than parking would be, so it worked for us as we were driving up to Liverpool for a weekend event. Park at hotel, taxi to Exhibition centre, enjoy event, taxi back, sleep, wake up, repeat. If you are planning to spend much time hanging out in the hotel maybe look elsewhere.
