King of the Coast

This is one of those homes that will have you completely smitten before you've even stepped foot behind the front door. Sitting within huge grounds just off the coastline in Sables D'or les Pins, there are gorgeous sea views to be had from the garden and no shortage of spots from which to appreciate this peaceful coastal setting, including a large terrace with a barbecue and dining table ready and waiting for feasts that stretch long into the evening. The scenery is no less pretty out through the large windows inside and one of the first-floor bedrooms is treated to a balcony as well so you can get a blast of sea air the very moment you wake up. However, don't forget to lavish a little attention on the carefully put-together interior, which is both contemporary and quirky. Cleansingly white walls and ceilings play host to an eclectic collection of artwork and lighting fixtures, while the bright red bathtub is certainly eye-catching, too. As you would hope given the proximity of La Manche, the home enjoys direct access to the beach, which feels almost like an extension of the garden. In the other direction, there are shops, restaurants and markets just over five minutes' walk from the home, as well as other attractions a short drive away – Les Jardins de Ker Louis can be reached in a quarter of an hour, for instance.
