Guest House DARUMA

施設は広くはないものの、モダンな造りで清潔でとても快適でした。

窓にカーテンがなく、道路を跨いだ近隣の建物から覗けてしまうのではないかと不安でした。Wiiのゲーム機が設備としてあり、子どもたちが遊びたかったようですが、電池がなかったのか、リモコンが動作せず、残念でした。テレビのリモコンの説明も英語でわかりにくいなと感じました。単に自分が機械に弱いのでだけなのかもですが。

The guesthouse is more like two rooms above a cafe that are accessed by self Check-In. The staircase is very narrow, and there is very little room if you have big luggage (or, in my case, a bicycle), and the kitchen and laundry area is squeezed into a tiny landing but is clean and functional. My room was big enough for a single person, but would be very small if four people were to stay there. All on all, it was clean, quiet, but felt very spartan. Washing for 100Yen, super bargain. Enough room to hang laundry (because there was nobody else around) Clean microwave and water cooker, fridge and a small sink.

This guesthouse which is basically the upper floor of a residence with a cafe on the ground floor might work well for a small group of people looking for private accommodation, travelling by car so take what I say with a grain of salt. The accommodation is a fair walk from Anan Station if you have luggage. There is a bus stop not far away, though, and there are restaurants in the neighbourhood. There are two car parking spaces right outside the property, but there was nowhere safe to park my bicycle, and there was no communication from the guesthouse until after I checked out when I enquired about bicycle parking. I ended up locking my bicycle to a post next to the car parking, since I was the only guest, but this left it very exposed (and potentially inconvenient to anyone wishing to park there). My room felt a bit bare and spartan, and the only thing inside was a small table and a TV. All bedding was behind a curtain, so I built my bed and after I removed some bedding, there was a bit of space behind the curtain to hang some clothes, but there really isn't any dedicated space for clothes or luggage. There are no chairs or seating cushions, so you end up sitting on the futon bed a lot. The kitchen has minimal utensils but no crockery - only paper plates and tiny paper cups. Also, there are signs that the kitchen is certified Halal, so no cooking with alcohol or pork, and I don't think I was made aware of that at the time of booking. For me, it didn't matter since I am vegetarian, but I thought twice about putting my beloved highball in the fridge (I didn't, just to be safe, and did not consume alcohol on the premises) but this should be communicated more clearly since pork and alcohol are highly prevalent in Japan. I think it works really well if you only sleep here and do laundry. I could have lived with all of this, but I am rating this lower because of the lack of (human) communication.

静かな住宅街の一角にあり非常に閑静な立地にあって利用しやすかったです。

2部屋用意されておりましたが洗面台にうがい用のカップが2つ用意されていましたが出来たら各部屋に置いてもらうか分けて設置していただくと安心できます。 　あとマットレスが腰が沈んで寝た後身体が痛くなりました。 　シーツも2枚しかなかったです。

窓から光が入って部屋全体が明るくなるのが素敵でした！物も充実してて、とても快適でした！
