Tropical Garden Finca

Die Finca ist ein absoluter Traum. Die große Terrasse, der beheizte Pool (ca 25 Grad), der riesige Palmen-übersähte Garten, die Sportmöglichkeiten (Tennis, Basketball, Tischtennis - Equipment ist vorhanden), die Ausstattung allgemein.. Unsere Kids wollten nicht mehr weg (Zitat: "Bester Urlaub ever") :) Die Anreise ist etwas abenteuerlich, aber wir haben eine Anleitung per Video zugeschickt bekommen, um zur Finca zu gelangen. Das war super (selbst in der Nacht)! Die Kommunikation zum Gastgeber bzw. zum Management war sehr gut. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gab es mit dem Auto innerhalb von 15 Minuten zu genüge. Wir werden wiederkommen. Der Urlaub ist eine 10 von 10, wenn man Ruhe und Erholung sucht!

Wenn man etwas zum Bemängeln sucht, könnte man die Anreise angeben. Aber der Standort lässt sich ja schlecht ändern ;) Es lohnt sich allemal! Die Türen quietschen etwas.. aber das war uns komplett egal.

The house and gardens have wonderful character and so much potential if upgraded. The beds were comfortable, and there were plenty of towels. Pool area, gardens and terrace were lovely and the tennis court was a lot of fun. Kids loved running around in the garden as it was so large. Kitchen was old but well equipped. If upgraded we would consider returning to this villa, lovely area and close, via the main road to all other areas on the island.

The house wasn't easy to access and we had a lot of problems when trying to order in any food or order Ubers. The plumbing in the house was a major concern. The bathrooms appear to have been updated in the 1980s and this shows both aesthetically and functionally. If you were in a shower and anyone ran water it turned to a trickle meaning that we had (10 of us) to coordinate showering which made it very awkward getting ready. There are other issues like the front gate which only one remote that was taped together; we had three cars and this was a nuisance. The BBQ is also very old and we had to finish off cooking in the kitchen as it just wasn't warm enough to cook the food. I felt I needed to write this review as there were quite a few 10/10 reviews that I, personally, feel really don't reflect the villa properly and I wish someone had written a more accurate review before we booked up.

De host was supergoed om de sleutels en juiste adres door te geven, maar Booking zelf had ons een andere locatie doorgestuurd waardoor de accommodatie onmogelijk te vinden was. Als je dit boekt, regel het direct met de host zelf. Zij was heel goed.

Er waren 5 slaapkamers, maar 1 ervan in de kelder had geen deur en dat was geen afgesloten ruimte. Als je boven zat hoorde je alles beneden. De andere slaapkamer beneden had 2 niet zulke comfortabele bedden en was slecht geventileerd. De 3 slaapkamers boven waren super met uitkijk op de prachtige tuin, de bedden daar waren ook heel comfortabel.

We enjoyed our holiday here in 2024 so much that we came back again this year and we had an equally good time. Very peaceful and relaxing, loads of space, and close (by car) to San Juan for restaurants, shopping and small beach, and also to Abama Beach which is lovely ( though food and loungers are expensive there). Highly recommend!
