The garden/park of the lodge is beautiful and constantly and very well taken care of. Our room was very clean, bed comfortable. The breakfast and a la carte dinner was very good. Staff is very friendly and will really try to accommodate every wish. When I remarked at check-in that we had chosen MMGL for the colobus monkeys, the receptionist later came to our room to tell us that they are now visible in the trees. We saw them every day in the trees which was a delight (and we also enjoyed the blue monkeys, the storks, the crowned crane etc.).
Be aware that street noise from the road between Arusha and Moshi can be heard everywhere at least a bit. We found the 100 USD fee for late check-out at 5.30 pm (for our late flight) a bit excessive after staying for 4 nights and the lodge not being fully booked.
