Blau 1911

It's a very well designed and restored place. It's really beautiful, comfortable, you find there all basics you need for a nice stay. It's not in the very center, but easy to reach everywhere. We traveled all over Porto only by walk and like the location of the hotel. It's easy to enter the building, lock the rooms etc. Staff is super nice and helpful. I can only recommend!

Please change the toilet paper to a better quality, at least two layers one ;) Honestly, everything was perfect, but the low quality toilet paper was driving us crazy. Small detail, but will improve the overall feeling even more :)

Great location, super clean rooms and building decorated to a high standard. Lots of nice restaurants in walking distance as well as Mercado Bom Sucesso. The only thing i’d mention is there’s a bar with an outdoor area a few doors down that was pretty loud until early hours - obviously nothing the hotel can control but would definitely recommend bringing earplugs!

Staff were excellent providing useful information

Special to have a pool and garden to sit in

The rooms with the decor, the cleanliness and the facilities, especially the size was exceptional. We couldn't have found a room this size in the old town. The property was well kept, the common areas were clean and well lit.

However, the location is so not ideal. No matter what the reviews say, it is extremely difficult to get to without Uber/car. Public transport involves a 10/15 minute walk and then a 15/20 minute ride to the old town, which is avoidable for a tourist. For purposes other than tourism, this place would be perfect, but for a first timer in Porto, it's a nightmare to find it and make the way in without a reception, and a lift as well. However, I have to appreciate the host/owner who very kindly helped us with our bags. This place is a beautiful cozy stay but definitely not ideal for tourists as it's too far from Porto Old Town.
