Ocean One Roatan

Very short walk to the beach in a safe area and nice pool.

Needed key for the unit, card for towels, and wristband to show you belong. Would be nice to consolidate or install push button electronic locks.

Once we found the office, Luis was very pleasant and helped us get into our villa right away. The property is in an excellent location, very convenient to get to the beach, restaurants, shops -just a quick walk, less than 5 minutes. But we also liked that it wasn't right on the beach, so we had more privacy and quiet. The villa pool was really nice, and since only half the units were occupied, it was never too crowded or loud. The covered patio was awesome, always shaded so we could sit outside without getting too hot. The villa is spacious and it's amazing that each room has its own bathroom. The kitchen was spacious, great for making some meals at home when we didn't feel like eating out. The cleaning staff did an amazing job for the most part, on the days they came. We had a good parking spot right next to the villa, and the driveway was easy to get in and out of. After seeing a lot of the island, we would absolutely stay here again if we were to return.

No one told us specifics of where to go to check in, just that someone would meet us. It would have been nice to know that we needed to go in through the Paradise entrance and to their office. I also never got answers when I texted the property on Whatsapp like they requested, and it took a while to get on the spotty wifi (if you're going off grid, it's not a problem, but we had to do some work while there). The cleaning staff came at different times on different days, and skipped a couple of days for some reason (we were assured they would come every day). Also, our towels weren't always replenished - sometimes we used them at the pool, and they took them off the chairs where we'd hung them to dry, without giving us more. It's nice that there's a second floor balcony but it has zero shade so we never used it. And the rooftop had a plastic cover for shade, but it wasn't enough. Also, the pool chairs were dirty, and not all of them had cushion covers, but the covers were dirty, too. None of these were terrible issues, just some of the little things that could be handled better.

The location was perfect, , 5 min walk to restaurants and the beach. Villa was clean, the pool was attended to daily and was clean. It was very quiet too.

We stayed in Sea Turtle Villa #3. I would highly recommend this villa as it has AC. I cannot imagine being in this humidity without AC. Luis, was super responsive to anything we needed. The villa was very nice and fairly well appropriated.

We had issues with internet being sporadic one day but Luis handled it immediately. If you are planning on using the gym at Paradise Resort be warned that it is not great and is like a sweat lodge!!! I didn't have to even move and I was dripping with sweat! I guess it's best to do your exercise in the water!
