The staff was so nice!

The location is unbeatable! Very lively, the terrace is hard to leave. The beds were comfortable and it was clean. The host was very friendly and usually there to greet you every time you walk in or out. The little sachets of shower gel/shampoo were surprisingly good. We were lucky to have one of three parking spots just a few hundred meters away for 5€ a day, that was great! We were shown a few rooms we then got to choose from and had a choice to change during our stay. The one booked through booking had a small bathroom, I probably wouldn’t have fit into and without a window so fortunately we were able to pay an upgrade and get the most beautiful room!! The host offers breakfast for 10€ per person you only have to order one day in advance. The coffee is delicious. You can also order drinks, food and snacks until 18:00 with a 2€ cover charge. Beautiful old furniture, beautiful stone stairs, lovely small room downstairs where we played a game one evening. You feel safe as the front door is locked unless the hostess is there. You always see her as she is right up the first stairway. The second room we had was a corner room so we got a nice draft to cool the room. The hostess also notices everything, the first evening we left the windows open to cool the room. It was windy so she closed it and secured the shutters. We will definitely go back.

Being right in the center you must be aware of the noise. Usually after 11pm it is quiet but the occasional party can last until 1:30am. In the morning by 6:20 at the latest you start hearing the glass bottles being picked up which were literally thrown in the garbage 11pm the night before. They collect all the bottles to get rid of them at 11pm. The kitchen of the restaurant beneath also love their loud boom box. If you want to take a shower with warm water it must be after 5pm and before 10am. We came back just after 10am from a hike on a cold day and had to wait the entire day to shower. It is also something to remember if you go swimming in the lake as you can only rinse off in cold water. There was one outlet in the bathroom to charge devices. Nowadays when devices need to be charged it is difficult. Fortunately I had a large battery pack so I could charge the phones from that. In the 2nd room we were able to unplug the bedside light.
