Villa Palmera

Spacious, airy and well equipped.Plenty of bathrooms for a group of six adults and two children. Lovely gardens and well maintained pool.

We hired a car and this enabled us to do bigger shops for food etc. Train station is about a 10minute walk away that will take you into central Palma. Single fare was €1.80…value for money in my opinion.

Bra område och nära till tåget in till Palma, gångavstånd till jättestor mataffär samt andra butiker. Behövde inte ha bil om man inte ville. Rymligt hus där det mesta fanns som man kan behöva.

The swimming pool and garden are so beautiful and private. Loved all the lounge chairs and seating areas. Everything is available: washer, dryer, dishwasher and airco. WiFi worked well. It was clean and tidy. The house felt airy and bright. Maria was lovely and quick to respond. We loved the location, we could walk to some restaurants and even to a supermarkt for a small grocery trip. For bigger trips bring the car. The little bakery at the corner has lovely breakfast items in the morning. The neighborhood felt very friendly and safe, discovered some beautiful walkways for an evening stroll. We also went to ‘Freedom’ and ‘Open’ to play padel with friends. Very close by and easy to rent rackets and a lane. So for house and location: we would definitely recommend this house.

Just some small things. We were here in early Spring, so in the evening it was still a bit cold and we were inside after dinner. The couch isn’t the most comfortable, it’s pretty hard to sit on. Some kitchen items need replacement: cutting boards and bread knives/sharp knives. Easy to fix. But overall it was a lovely stay and we highly recommend it.

I’ve really had to think about this as I don’t like to be too negative but we were very disappointed (and upset) about certain aspects of the villa. We didn’t mention this on holiday as didn’t see the point as it couldn’t be changed, plus we also saw the comments made about a previous guest who scored it a 1 (a 1 was unfair but they equally had some valid points, some of which I have not mentioned). Air conditioning - it states in the advert on booking.com that the villa had air conditioning. What they fail to tell you is that it’s ONLY in the bedrooms. It’s was over 30 degrees in our week and the lounge area and kitchen were so hot it was uncomfortable, especially with a young child. We actually bought a decent fan (€45) for the lounge which helped a little and we left in the villa for future guests. We would have struggled without this, but this should be mentioned to guests as we 100% would not have booked knowing this (and will ensure we actually ask specifically this question in all future villa bookings) Pictures of Villa on booking.com - we booked this Villa based on the pictures in the advert. On arriving, whilst it is the same Villa, it’s made to look ALOT more luxurious in the photos than it really is. Please see my pictures (can only put 4) Sofa - in the advert it’s white, clean, plump and looks great. The current sofa (whilst the frame is the same) the cushions have literally had there day! There is no stuffing left in the seated area (obs due to use) but it’s like sitting on a wooden bench, which made it really uncomfortable to spend any period of time on the sofa, plus it just looked old. I have taken a picture of this area the same as the advert looks and you will see what I mean. Even the rug was different and old and needed properly cleaning. Dining room area - again it’s the same table and chairs in advert BUT it’s old and has some chairs that should really be binned due to their condition (again see pictures).
