13th Century Petite Chateau in the heart of the Perigord Vert.

Peaceful, romantic petite chateau with picturesque views over the valley. 4 mins drive to the village with boulangerie, creperie and bar. Epicerie across the road. Picturesque walks in the forest and lakes behind the chateau. Plunge pool on the terrace. Large car park. Sleeps 12 adults, 3 children, 1 infant.
There are 5 bedrooms. One is very large with an ensuite. Another has its own facilities and the remaining three share a bathroom. Wifi is available in most of the bedrooms.
At the bottom of the garden there is a shepherds hut (roulotte). The roulotte sleeps 2 people and has its own facilities. There is a gas barbecue with a plancha on the side for boiling a kettle. A short walk away is an outdoor kitchen with a sink and power points. Behind the kitchen is a bathroom with fridge, toilet, sink and basic shower.
The Chateau and Roulotte sleep 12 people, there is a sofa bed and 2 fold down beds suitable for children and 1 travel cot.
Inside the Chateau there is a large kitchen, a beautiful salon with english and french TV and Netflix. There is a Sonos system in the Salon and Bar (app required for use). The chapel bar has a small snooker/pool table and board games.
The Chateau is a short drive to St Estephe with its swimming lake, beach, watersports and beachside cafe. Every Monday evening during the season there is night market where local producers sell and cook food for you.
Every Wednesday morning there is a market in nearby Piégut-Pluviers. This is one of the largest markets in the Dordogne and runs every week throughout the year.
Lots of Chateaux, pretty small towns and villagesto visit nearby including historic Brantome, where you can visit the abbey, roam around the picturesque streets and eat in wonderful restaurants. Try canoeing for a fabulous day out.
The property is not fully enclosed so dogs must be kept on a lead to avoid accidents. There is a small lake and lavoir and the bottom of the garden which is built on terraces with steep drops. If you are bringing children they must be supervised at all times outside. The plunge pool is fenced off but the lake and lavoir are not enclosed.
Other amenities include: 2 high chairs; hammocks; boules court; Barbecue and deck chairs.
Limoges airport (direct with Ryanair from Stansted) is 50 minutes drive with car hire available.
The nearest supermarket is Intermarche in Piégut-Pluviers - 12 minutes drive. Or a larger selection of supermarkets, shops and restaurants in Nontron - 20 minutes drive.
If you would like to hold your event here (birthdays, anniversary, wedding, christening) we have tables and chairs for up to 36 people. Artificial flowers, tablecloths extra plates and glasses all for hire at an extra cost. The boules court can become a dance floor with awnings, lights and a gazebo for the band or DJ.
