We had an amazing stay at Shinkyo Inn. The riverside inn was so charming and the location couldn’t be beat. It is steps away from the famous Shinkyo Bridge and wooded temple complex that includes Toshogu Shrine. Mark and his wife made a delicious breakfast and were so accommodating. They provided great restaurant recommendations and even called for us to make reservations, called a taxi, and helped us with the bus to Lake Chuzenji. We couldn’t recommend it more and can’t wait to return.

Great location, very close to Shinkyo bridge with a view over the river. Well appointed room and good food
Best of all - fabulous welcome from Hisako and Mark, making sure everyone who stays with them has a good stay
