Wooden Knee Cottages Nanyuki

Wooden Knee Cottages is a hidden gem in Nanyuki. The cottage was spacious, with readily available warm water and excellent cleanliness. Amenities include a fridge, Wi-Fi, TV, a basic kitchen with an oven, stove, and microwave, as well as a children's playground and firepit. The friendly owner speaks excellent English. The property is also located within a fenced area, offering a quiet neighborhood experience. A high value property.

These are a view things to consider when staying here. It is located away from the main road, making it more accessible with your own car. Not a problem for us. Food is not available on site, but given the kitchen available, cooking our own meal is possible.

We absolutely loved our stay. The location was perfect – very serene and peaceful, with beautiful surroundings, yet still very close to town, which made it so convenient for us. There was ample parking and we felt very secure throughout our stay. The host, Patrick, was amazing. He was so friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help out, even sharing great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we would definitely go back.

The only thing we didn’t like was that the mattress was too thin, which made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep on.

Very warm welcome from the owner (who lives in the premises). He is also very helpful. The dog is also so friendly. Peaceful and green environment, perfect to relax. Simple but comfortable chalets. Different options of accommodation available in the premises to satisfy various needs. Well maintained gardens to enjoy time outside. Enough space to park several cars too

Nothing much. We enjoyed the place a lot. Only 1 bathroom for the 3 bedrooms in the chalet we chose. Ok, not a big problem for us, but a small suggestion here = A separate door to go and take a shower might be more relevant to avoid passing through the toilet. Security dogs from neighboring compounds barking a lot, it can spoil the quietness of the place in the evening and at early night. It may be just a temporary issue...

The hosts were very accomodating and helpful - even when we showed up unexpectedly at 8am. Great outdoor facilities and firepit. Perfect for families. Supermarket not too far away. Cute dog.
