The Yumbo Pearl

Amazing location, walkable to shops, bars, restaurants and beach. Lots of space to relax with plenty of sun chairs and tables and chairs. Great to have heated pool, hot tub and bbq. Well equipped and lovely shower and spacious bathroom and washing machine. Topped off by sun terrace on the roof.

Would be useful to have a handy hints and tips guide for things like how to use hot tub and operating times, use of oven, dishwasher and Wi-Fi etc… and where to dispose of rubbish and recycling. The large bed and one of the single beds started to squeak when you moved in the night and would sometimes wake you up. As there was four of us, having just the one toilet was sometimes annoying when someone was in the shower. The villa wasn’t very clean on arrival, floors were dirty and mouldy lemon in the fridge and food up the fridge door and dirty sock out side by the pool and some broken glass. The host came a few time to do odd jobs and was found sat or standing outside the property a couple of times which felt awkward. Short of drinking glasses, we had to go out and purchase our own, and the bottle opener as it was broken.

Everything! We did a lot of research before booking and it lives up to expectations. There were only three of us so a single bathroom wasn’t a problem and it meant we had extra beds to pick from! Our son was in the twin room and one of the beds was a bit squeaky and springy but the other was lovely and comfy for him. Master bed also big and comfy. Great to have a heated pool. It’s a small pool so you won’t be swimming lengths but it’s warm and ideal for kids to play in. Hot tub warmed to a pleasant 35c also gave a super extra option. It’s turned off after 8pm which we preferred anyway as the drone or the pump would likely be annoying all night. Kitchen is well equipped, photos included to help inform future guests! We mainly cooked breakfasts and made snacks and it was ideal for that. BBQ outside also available. Really handy to have a washing machine and dishwasher. Tried to use the kettle but it was broken but we just boiled water in a pan and didn’t ask for a replacement but I’m confident that if we had one would have been provided. Grocery shop with decent range of food at good prices a 5 min walk away and the main yumbo centre also an easy walk. Beach about 10 mins walk but also down a bunch of steps so possibly worth being aware of. There is a ramp option at the other end of the beach as well. Dunes are easily accessible at the end of the promenade too. Car parking right on the road outside always available. Not many people walk past, it’s a great spot close to the thick of things but surprisingly quiet. Very private with high fences all around and yet with seating on all sides too as well as on the roof so you have your pick of sun or shade at all times provided the sun is out! We would definitely consider staying again.

Very minor issues that we didn’t have a huge problem with included the fact that some of the outside furniture is a bit past its best. Some hammocks on stands or more loungers with cushions would be a nice addition but again this wasn’t a huge issue for us. Shower was okay. It looks nice but the screen needs to be longer to stop water escaping onto the floor and hot water runs out quite quickly, but it’s a small tank so it does heat up again fairly fast for the next person too.

We had a wonderful stay at the Yumbo Pearl. The accommodation is clean and comfortable with great amenities. The outdoor spaces were the highlight for us, really enjoyable -taking time to relax whilst being in the heart of playa del ingles.

Really can’t think of anything negative
