No. 1 Family Caravan at Golden Gate Holiday Centre, Sleeps 6

Good and approachable hosts Good facilities

The location was excellent, the site was very clean, the host's were very polite and helpful.

The tv would not plug in due to not enough plug sockets for the electrical items. Could do with a 3 plug extension adapter for the tv, lamp, WiFi, and tv booster all to work at the same time. The seat for the pull out bed in the living room needs a plank underneath it to stop the front of the setee panel from falling out when sitting on it. Both very cheap and easy fixes. The fridge could be upgraded for one with a freezer compartment for ice lollies. All said and done we enjoyed our stay and would return again. Thank you for the rental.

The location and the 2 bathrooms

It was dated and the sofas were not clean, we had 2 fleas in the twin room

The location, we know the site well from visiting frequently over the years. Very clean. The owners were quick to respond to assist.

The caravan was very dated, with the aluminium some of which we were unable to close fully. Wallpaper torn in some areas. I understand that this caravan does allow you take pets but upon entering there was a very heavy smell of “wet dog”. I’m not sure if the owners clean the van themselves or not but some air fresheners would help with the overpowering smell. We were unable to find a toaster, not sure if there was one or not. Whilst I appreciate that this was not the most expensive caravan available it was also not the cheapest and was a little disappointed compared to caravans we have stayed in before for the same price.
