Portimão Bellevue Villa With Pool by Homing

Zwembad was niet goed schoon. Werd gelukkig snel opgelost.

We had a wonderful stay in the Villa. Beautiful villa and gardens with exceptional pool. Good location for a quiet break but also close to Portamao that has all amenities and also with good access to day trips. We would go back in a heartbeat.

The only improvement if it mattered to you would be an upgrade on the TV. Didn't matter to us though.

The location was good and a quiet area. The Villa was very nice but a little run down.

Our stay was extremely disappointing and did not provide the relaxing family holiday we expected. Communication with the Homing was very poor, with all contact through messages and little or no support available outside normal hours. On arrival, the key box was also not where we had been instructed and was instead hanging in a tree. In addition, the main bathroom had a persistent sewage smell coming through the pipes. The most serious issue was repeated power cuts. After the first outage, we eventually received instructions to reset all the internal and external fuses, which restored the power. However, when we returned from an evening out, the power had failed again. The electric entrance gate was also not working, forcing our family, including my wife, to climb over the gate to access the property, which was both unacceptable and potentially unsafe. We could not restore the power and received no response from the hosts or the emergency number. We therefore spent the night without electricity or air conditioning. I eventually managed to restore the power myself the following morning. The outage also affected the swimming pool, which began developing algae. Despite repeatedly reporting this, maintenance staff did not attend until four days later, on our final day. They told us they had only just been informed of the problem. The owner offered two additional days as compensation, which was impractical as we were leaving the following day. Homing team did offer £450, but when I questioned whether this adequately reflected the disruption, we were abruptly told to take it or leave it and raise the matter with Booking.com. Overall, the repeated power failures, sewage smell, unusable pool, lack of emergency support and poor communication significantly affected our family holiday. While we acknowledge the £450 offer, we do not believe it adequately reflects the disruption and would ask that the level of compensation is reconsidered.
