Charming Bight Cottage moments from beach by Whitstable-Holidays

The house is in a perfect location for exploring Whitstable, a stones throw from the high street and marina/beach. The kitchen had everything we needed albeit very basic items.

The parking was really difficult. There was nowhere anywhere near the house and we had to pay to park all weekend in a car park which was an added expense for us. It also stated there is an EV charger which we didn’t see and don’t see how this is possible based on the location. The garden needs some attention, the weather was great but we didn’t really use the garden. The furniture is very basic, no parasol as shown on the listing and it is in desperate need of weeding. There was also a lot of garden waste in front of the gate and the bin which made it hard to see, we would not have been able to put the bin out (as per the instructions) had we been staying on the Sunday night. We visited on a very hot weekend and the house was incredibly hot, I would recommend some extra fans! There was one in one of the bedrooms so we had to move it around when needed. Also it’s worth noting that this house is not suitable at all for anyone with any mobility issues. There are lots of steps within the house, and the stairs are very steep, I would say the stair case to the top floor is unusable to anyone tall/large or children.

Gorgeous little cottage vibes, excellent location. Had everything we needed for a girls getaway. Really comfortable beds. Everything we needed.

The stairs to the third floor were a little steep so you would need to keep that in mind if you need to use that room mobility wise.

The property was an ideal location 5 minute walk from every place we wanted to go and from the sea. It’s was extremely Cozy, warm and welcoming. It really did feel like a home for a few days.

The location was fantastic, it was easy to park outside and literally 2 mins from beach. It was well decorated and quirky character. Owner responsive when messaged about heating.

It wasn’t clean - we had to rewash items to use, it wasn’t very well equipped for cooking and the garden wasn’t particularly dog friendly - decking was all broken & tatty, back gate wouldn’t catch to stay shut and weeds absolutely everywhere. It was also very cold as heating hadn’t been left on.
