Located amid cypresses and olive trees on the headland between Kalami and Kouloura bays, Kalami Bay villa appears similar to other properties in the lovely area. But this charming two-bedroom villa has a delightful surprise: a short path leads to a flat rocky platform for sunbathing and swimming in the clear turquoise waters of the Ionian Sea. Taking a dip in these shallow waters is an invigorating experience that will leave you with unforgettable memories. The villa is simple yet bright, offering unobstructed sea views from the partly shaded dining terrace. In just 10 minutes, you can stroll into Kalami to buy fresh supplies for lunch, then spend a leisurely afternoon in the shade of one of the ancient olive trees surrounding the terrace. You can also choose from several tavernas, including The White House, which was once the home of poet, dramatist, and travel writer Lawrence Durrell, best known for writing Prospero's Cell. His brother Gerald, author of My Family and Other Animals, also lived in the area with his family in the 1930s. Kalami is the perfect place to rent a boat and enjoy a range of watersports at its Blue Flag beach. Alternatively, visit the tranquil Kouloura Harbour, home to the famous fish taverna, just a 5-minute walk away.

Turn RIGHT at the junction at the bottom of this road. This will lead you to a T. junction and a set of traffic lights, where the sea is in front of you, with the Old Fortress ahead/left. Turn LEFT here. Step 2 After 300 m you will pass the CORFU PALACE HOTEL on your LEFT. Follow the road up hill, joining a one-way system, around the LISTON/CRICKET PITCH, entrance to the OLD FORT and MAIN PARKING area that will lead you out of Corfu Town. Step 3 Follow the road around passing the old port, and new ports. You will come to round-a-bout take the first exit (The SETTE VENTI CAFE is located on your right). Continue on this road for about 2km until you reach a major T. Junction and another set of traffic lights. Step 4 Turn RIGHT here. You will pass Lidl on your left and Synka supermarket on your right. Continue along this main road, through many sets of traffic lights. You will notice a blue building on your LEFT, which is the HOSPITAL. Step 5 Follow signs to DASIA & KASSIOPI - Keep in the RIGHT lane. Turn RIGHT at the lights, which will take you along the coastal road, and up the North East coast. Step 6 You will pass through the villages of DASIA, then the narrow resort of IPSOS before climbing uphill towards the small resort of BARBATI, passing developments such as RIVIERA BARBATI and PIERA DEL MAR on you RIGHT. The sea will always be to you right. Continue North through BARBATI. Step 7 You will then reach the village of NISSAKI. Keep to the main road – (do not turn off to the beach), travelling uphill until you reach the church and the SIMPSON TRAVEL OFFICE signs, located next to the church. Step 8 Continue past the office – 100m on your LEFT you will notice APHRODITE’S SUPERMARKET. This is your local supermarket and bakery. Anthi Vitamins & Roumeli Tavernas are also in this village. You will then pass through the end of Nissaki, passing a petrol station on your LEFT and then a sharp bend to the RIGHT and signs to KAMINAKI. Again, continue along the main road. Step 9 After 1km you will climb uphill, passing the entrance to the BLUE ATLANTICA HOTEL on your RIGHT and 100m further on you will pass the sign for AGNI. Again continue, uphill on the main road. Step 10 You will see signs for KOULOURA and KALAMI. Take this turning to your RIGHT and head downhill. The road splits at the bottom of the hill. (KOULOURA TAVERNA and HARBOUR is down to your LEFT). Continue RIGHT. Kalami Bay View is the first house on your LEFT. Go through the gate (shared driveway) and down to the bottom.
