Netherton Farm Lodge has been lovingly made with sustainably sourced Scandinavian pine and is powered by a renewable air source heat system. Relax and enjoy the rustic charm and soft furnishings of our eco-friendly setting.
We are just a 15 minute drive from Aberdeen Airport and a 10 – 15 minute drive to Inverurie Train Station, The village of Kemnay is only a three minute drive away (or 25 minute walk through the Estate) & includes a Coop, a butcher, a chemist, a farmshop, etc...
The very spacious ground-floor living area comprises a luxurious, relaxation area, breakfast & dining facilities, a well-equipped kitchenette which allows our guests to self-cater, a self-contained entrance hall and a cloakroom. Superfast Wifi throughout the property. Ideal for a staycation or for people wanting to work away from home.
Our two, spacious king size en-suite bedrooms have large-headed showers. The Cévennes room also boasts a luxurious freestanding bathtub. Each bedroom is equipped for total comfort with a hair dryer, high quality towels, face cloths, soft Egyptian cotton sheets, extra pillows and blankets, natural shower products, homemade bath salts and our 100% natural, eco-friendly, soaps made at Fetternear with our beeswax.
Superb salmon and trout fishing is available on the Rivers Dee, Don & Deveron. River Don bookings on our own Fetternear stretch & other stretches can be made via the Fish Pal website. We have facilities to store waders and fishing rods.
There are 60 excellent golf courses to choose from in the region including our own, high quality, local course in Kemnay.
Netherton is less than an hour away from the sensational North East whisky distillery trail with famous names such as Glenfiddich, Strathisla, Macallan, Aberlour, Glenfarclas, etc, starting with our local Glen Garioch distillery (20 mins drive)
We are situated on the famous ‘Castle Trail’ for you to visit some of the 300+ stunning castles in the region, including Castle Fraser (7 mins drive) starting with the ancient ruins of the 13th Century Bishops of Aberdeen Summer Palace in the heart of Fetternear (5 mins walk). Balmoral Castle is just an hour and a quarter’s drive from the lodge.
For keen hikers and walkers, there are great local walks starting on our doorstep through the ancient woodland of Fetternear - Stunning cycle trails including Bennachie (10 mins drive) and, of course, the mountains and lochs of Upper Deeside on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park & Balmoral Estate.
There are loads of activities and places to discover in the north-east of Aberdeenshire all year round - whether it is in the spring, summer, autumn or winter - and for everybody, eg a bike ride , a walk, a Whisky tasting, a visit to a castle or an art gallery, or simply relaxing & doing a puzzle in the comfort of the Lodge or kicking a ball in the garden & playing with our friendly dogs.

- Please note there are NO stair gates. Children are entirely the RESPONSIBILITY of their parents throughout their stay.
- Travel cot available on request. NO mattress provided for health reasons.
- For safety reasons, the log burning stove CANNOT be used by guests at any time.
