About this apartment rental
While our listing is fairly new to VRBO we are not new to hosting and are established on other booking platforms. We're happy to answer any questions you may have and we look forward to hosting you!
Once home to legendary musician Jon Cleary, our quaint one bedroom/one bath flat with your very own private balcony and string-lit courtyard offers ample space making this an attractive location for your New Orleans getaway! Frenchmen St is roughly 6 blocks away and our residential-like neighborhood offers a variety of eats and establishments right at your fingertips. There is ample free, first come first serve street parking in the area.
Our home is situated in a mixed-use building that has Small Mart Cafe, Pond Coffee, and Bandit Hair Company located downstairs. There is also another vacation rental in the building but no worries you each have your own private entrances on complete opposite sides of the building! Our one bedroom/one bath property is fully stocked with kitchen, bath, and bedding essentials leaving more room in your suitcase to load up on souvenirs! Please note this unit does not have a washer/dryer. The unit has multiple entry doors which you are welcome to open and let the breeze flow through! Upon arrival you will climb one flight of stairs to reach the unit entry door.
As with any major city, please keep in mind that crime can and does happen in EVERY part of New Orleans. We love our city but please be street smart and do not leave valuables displayed in your vehicle and always be aware of your surroundings.
In addition to on-site businesses our neighborhood is boasting with other local attractions, restaurants, bars, and cafes . All within 2-4 blocks of the property you'll find Bywater American Bistro, Horn's Eatery, Pepp's Pub, The Friendly Bar, Silk Road Restaurant and Wine Bar, Flora Cafe and Gallery, The Orange Couch, Crescent Park, JAMNOLA, Marigny Opera House (just to name a few!). And did we mention already that Frenchmen St is a swift 6 blocks away?!

The Marigny neighborhood is so cool. Just east of the French Quarter, you can walk everywhere from the property. A wonderful bakery and cafe is literally just steps outside the front door. New Orleans is such a beautiful place with the friendliest people. Highly recommend staying at this VRBO.

Great location! I was a bit nervous as I entered the neighborhood for the first time. But the local people and business owners were great. I never had a problem. I was able to park my truck 6 feet from the front door. The 8-minute walk to the local music scene (Frenchmen St) is the best! Holy crap; I saw Maude Caillat (world class sax player), Trombone Shorty, Irvin Mayfield, Kermit Ruffins all on Thanksgiving night. Then a short walk home past bars and restaurants where the locals hang out on Royal Street. I would stay again.

This is a great place to stay and it’s a fantastic location. Very safe! We watched fireworks from the balcony.
