Lovely greeting from the host, clean and comfortable
The kettle had a lot of limescale, had we been staying longer I would have mentioned it but as we were only there for 2 nights, it was not a huge issue.

We loved absolutely everything about this place ! ❤️The location , the tranquility & peacefulness and the cosy cottage ambience. The cottage had everything we needed , was very warm and cosy and made for a really relaxing break . The village is just beautiful with a little traditional country cafe and lots of lovely walks . Easy access to Banbury & the Cotswolds - just perfect! The host Julie & her family are doing a fabulous job on making this place a gem of a stay ! We will definitely be returning. Thank you ! 🤗

Confortable and characterful cottage in a nice peaceful village.
Good layout for the three of us plus dog.
Very good location for us near relatives.
Lovely countryside for walks/ runs with and without the dog.
We came in very cold weather and the cottage was cold when we arrived. We managed to turn the heaters on and the fire the first day heated the living room once it got going. Could have done with some kindling to light it the next day. Bathroom remained very cold.
We had not brought much food and it would have been nice to have had some bread, milk and butter as there were no shops open nearby.

The location was excellent - close to Banbury and motorway connections. The cottage has massive potential and is very roomy, but it is in urgent need of updating.
The furniture, carpets and lino, and the kitchen and bathroom, were very dated. I didn't like the crockery being piled on the kitchen windowsill, the cheap hairdryer and the very cheap towels.
