Pros
New property. LOVED my 6-night stay. Very attractive modern hip lobby w/ convenient snacks available (for purchase).
Spacious (VERY) fully-equipped one-bedroom apartment in new building. BEAUTIFUL. See pics. Ample storage. Large well-lit bathroom with superb water pressure. Great black-out curtains.
24-hr reception w/ (very) helpful English-speaking young ladies. Excellent security.
Spacious fast & modern elevator.
Nespresso a treat; but charged for capsules. Only 4 complimentary (per apartment); petty unnecessary charge reflects poorly on what is otherwise an exceptionally apartment. Paid extra for balcony (as I like an outdoor space).
20 min brisk walk (safe) to central square; thus, forced daily exercise but did not rain during my stay.
Excellent bakery/cafe next door; had breakfast there. Mid-size grocery store 2 blocks away (with excellent deli options & breakfast needs).
Excellent price (if booked early).
TV connects to iPhone (loved this); you can watch DirectTV, YouTube, Netflix although there are many regular channels available.
Cons
Street is under construction through April ‘25; it was muddy & rocky (see pics). Ask room card be programmed to allow entry through back door (to avoid walking through construction site to reach front door). Once street construction is completed, some “Cons” will go away. My recommendation until road construction is finished April ‘25, consider other lodging options…but Plantonia is excellent (but for no road).
Taxi will drop you off on a side street because of road construction; a consideration if you have large or multiple suitcase(s).
Sofa (bed) in living room uncomfortable to SIT ON (the cushions don’t fit properly) & it’s the only place to sit in the living area. This can be fixed.
No shower mat in deep tub; accident waiting to happen. Also no safety grips anywhere. Strong suggestion, especially for older guests.

I added a couple of days to my stay in Krakow just to return to Plantonia. I think it's my favourite hotel in the world. Breakfast is gorgeous.
