This was a great house!! The location was in a beautiful, quiet and safe area. The house was so cute and comfortable. Check in and check out were super easy. I would definitely consider staying here again.
I would have felt a little more comfortable to have blinds on the windows at night. Most of the rooms had thicker curtains, but the room I stayed in had sheer curtains. This is just a personal preference. I loved the house!

Great house, large and great wood floors, plenty of room. Nice lighting and decorating. Fireplace was easy to use, our dog loved it, kitchen very nice gas cooktop on island. We brought our Keurig and wine.
Queen bed was upstairs so we used the 2 double rooms downstairs. Linens were all wonderful and ceiling fans over beds.
Getting keys was horrible. We are in our 70s and had to walk to the back deck to access the keypad. It was a 9 digit code! That’s right 9 digits. It didn’t work. Tried about 5 times, finally had to walk out front to get cell reception. First they couldn’t find our reservation. Had to try another code which didn’t work then finally a 5 digit code to another lock. This took over 12 trips back and forth and about 30 minutes. The girl helping from rental company was wonderful. PS I would put king beds in all bedrooms.

Location is quite and convenient to many beautiful areas we visited
No heat upon arrival with the temperature inside was 52 degrees. The gas fireplace would not light either. Calling customer service got the promise that help would arrive asap. No help or call back from customer support ever happened in the 4 days we were there. Bought space heaters from Walmart to warm the sleeping areas for us and the kids.
We stayed in the Bird house in June also and noted in reviews several minor issues that had still not been addressed by the time of our December stay. A taped up quarter sized hole in the kitchen window glass was still not repaired. The bedroom door that wouldn't stay shut was not repaired. The squeaky bed in the loft bedroom was still squeaky. We had no internet for 3 of our 4 day stay in June. On our last day, a new cable was run from across the street that was left in the road and had to be dodged to keep from tripping coming to and leaving the house. The cable, in December, is still laying in traffic and a trip hazard in the yard.
The light switches are a puzzle to be solved as we never figured out what some switches operated. No logic behind light switch location and the lights they turned on.
For the money, it seemed the attention to detail and especially the customer service were not as hoped for or expected.
