Whitehaven Holiday

Excellent location. V central. Very useful map showing locations of all the things that may be helpful/useful/of interest ,i.e. local museums, local landmarks, local supermarkets & petrol stations as well as both train stations

Not as described & not up to the standard we'd expect for the money. Size was fine, bedsit/studio. There was a dining table & 4 chairs (1 a fold up) but it was in a small space between wall & kitchenette & there wasn't the space to pull it out so my lady sat at that while I had to sit on the bed to eat. The description refered specifically to outdoor/patio relaxation space but when we arrived it was made clear that was only accessible to the 2 apartments up above. The bathroom was v minimal. You open the door to the space and you're met by a shower curtain, then another, then a cloakroom basin & toilet. The shower is on the wall between the 2 curtains & set up as a wet room. The kitchenette was ill-fitted with a random selection of crockery, cutlery & kitchenware. All in all if it had been down to me I'd've expected to pay £100 less for the quality of finish.

The apartment is on a route used by people leaving town after a night out, so there was some noise around 10-11pm

Whitehaven Stay

Well situated. Parking not far. Host was lovely. Shower was lovely and hot,plenty toiletries to use.

The lats on the bed are loose. Everytime I turned over the bed collapsed. No mention of cctv above door entry,should be on the listing. Can be quite noisy on a night time with people coming back from pub,but that's not the hosts fault.

Good value

Very convenient location within the town and very good value for Cumbria. Not in the latest style but had a comfortable homely feel (old-fashioned dining table, lots of considered and local pictures etc). Bed was fine for me and everything in the kitchen area worked well.

Basically good. The street it's in is actually quite an attractive Georgian one and has hardly any vehicle traffic but is a bit of a revellers' short cut and, as the apartment opens straight on to it, there's a bit of weekend late-night passing cheery noise. The bathroom makes what it can of its highly limited space.

Great value for money, good location. Lots of cooking equipment

Quite noisy on the street both nights that we stayed and nowhere to sit together other than the bed. The noise was not the hosts fault at all, it just seemed the street was a through road for people travelling from one pub to another

Great location and good communication from host

The property is generally tired with rickety furniture, fan in bathroom was not working, shower rail held on with tape, bed had some slats loose, bedding and towels clean but tired in fabric. There were lots of random ornaments which made it look cluttered.

The accommodation was close to town. We chose this area as we were travelling to the lake district each day.

Fantastic cosy place ..

It's was very cosy ☺️... Nice and clean, perfect my business stay for a few days .

I read reviews about the wet room and the toilet being in the same room, and some wasn't a fan of this layout .. This didn't bother me in the slightest... I loved the house and the location.

We left 2 days early.

Large wardrobe which took an entire corner of an already small space and was locked so unusable. Therefore pointless. Great ornament! Bathroom was horrendous layout. Have to walk through the ‘wet room shower’ to go to the toilet. So feet always wet as shower space didn’t dry as poor ventilation so constantly wet. This resulted in a damp smell continuously. Bed mattress was shocking. So soft, if one of you rolled/ moved both ended in the middle so more of a hammock than flat bed. Electrics were a concern as everything seemed to be connected by trailing leads. And surprised it has passed electrical safety standards. Outdoor space is not as pictured. We knew this would be basic due to the price but didn’t expect unusable facilities and furniture.
