The location was great. However, it’s not fit for summers as simply the conditioner is not enough for the upstairs bedroom. The place is huge.

The cooling wasn’t enough. The washroom flush was leaking.

Pros: • Clean, spacious, and comfortable apartment. • Excellent, secure location in the heart of Rome, with armed soldiers outside 24/7 due to the building housing an important political party office. • Felt very safe with strict security measures and monitored cameras. • Spacious living room that was a great place to relax.

Cons: • No clear instructions provided for operating the radiators (which were left on and made the apartment uncomfortably hot) or the air conditioner. • We had to contact the host for instructions on turning off the radiators and using the air conditioning unit, though they did respond promptly. • Only one set of apartment keys was provided, and the apartment door locks automatically. This caused issues when our teenaged son accidentally locked us all out. • The host only informed us of spare keys after we had been locked out, but they were only copies of the main door and courtyard gate keys—not the apartment door key. • Despite the lack of key instructions, the host blamed us for being locked out and charged us €80 for the housekeeper to come out and unlock the gates and doors. • Steep, slick wooden spiral staircase, which was difficult to navigate, especially with luggage. • The bathroom was narrow and cramped, with peeling LVP flooring. • Our son had an accident trying to jump the courtyard gate to get back inside, resulting in him breaking his arm and finger, needing stitches in his chin, and a trip to the hospital. This incident caused us to miss our planned day trip to Pompeii. In conclusion, while the apartment was in a great location and felt secure, the lack of operational instructions, additional charges, and our unfortunate experience left us disappointed with certain aspects of our stay.
