Situated on over 1 acre of private property. Our bright and airy chalet is exceptionally maintained, and has a beautifully landscaped waterfront access with stunning private views.
One of the most private chalets in the area, stunning views and larger grounds along the river. Look directly across to a magnificent forest and vista!

The bunk room sleeps up to four in two sets of twin bunk beds and Canadian animal bedding. A great room for kids!
The Canada Blue room with Queen sized bed, large closet, dresser and desk perfect for working remotely, gaming or great rest and relaxation.
The Primary Loft Suite has a King size bed with private ensuite bathroom. A very large walk in shower, closet dressing/laundry room(**washer/dryer available for weekly or longer rental only)and desk with ergonomic task chair. The best views in the chalet!
Main floor bright open concept with 23 ft vaulted ceiling and spectacular views. It is bright and spacious.
A fully equipped modern kitchen with island for food prep and breakfast bar seating for 2, dining table seating for 6.
Sectional sofa in living room with large Smart flat screen TV; high speed Wifi, Bell Satelite and Neflix.
Cozy up to a wood burning fireplace ( seasonal : Winter, Early Spring &Fall) and enjoy an evening of board games, play pool, ping pong or soccer on our small multi game table, movies or an intimate evening after wonderful day outdoors.

We had a wonderful long fall weekend! We loved the house and Elizabeth was amazing with her hospitality and thought of every detail! She even had a special treat and gift for our son's birthday which was so thoughtful!

Our family very much enjoyed our stay at RiverRose.Elizabeth was very helpful from the getgo, and we appreciated the ease of settling in. The array of cookies left for us was a lovely, and unexpected surprise.One of our party had to work remotely, and the excellent wifi and the desk made all stress free and even enjoyable.The place was spotless, all the appliances worked, it was well stocked with kitchen needs, and the large tv made our movie nights fun. The beds were really comfortable, and the A/C and the woodstove (both needed this late in the summer!) were much appreciated. The tandem kayak made for some splendid lazy meanderings on the tranquil river. And although there were other properties dotting the entire shoreline, it was more private and quiet than expected, especially at the end of the season, with only the occasional water craft drifting by -- mostly kayaks and canoes. At one point, we needed to find live worms for fishing and within minutes Elizabeth had not only found a source but had called them to ensure there would be stock available.The Metro store in Mansfield supplied all our grocery needs. A note to birdwatchers: we were there at the start of the southern migration, and the number of species we encountered was stunning -- not least of which was a pair of bald eagles. The cottage was splendidly positioned in every way. We highly recommend RiverRose!

We had a fantastic stay at River Rose Cottage! The location is perfect—peaceful, scenic, and right by a quiet river that's ideal for paddling in the provided kayaks. Our teenage kids loved swimming, exploring, or simply finding a quiet spot to read by the water. The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, with all the amenities thoughtfully provided. It’s close enough to town to pick up anything you might need with just a short drive, yet isolated enough to enjoy total peace and privacy.One of my favorite parts was soaking in the hot tub at night while stargazing—it was incredibly peaceful and beautiful. Mornings were just as special, sipping coffee outside while watching the geese glide across the water. The hosts were absolutely amazing—warm, helpful, and always ready with great suggestions for nearby activities. River Rose truly is a hidden gem—we couldn’t have asked for a better getaway!

My stay at this charming retreat was nothing short of amazing. The breathtaking views alone are worth the visit, offering a peaceful escape from everyday life. The accommodations were comfortable and well-maintained, with every detail thoughtfully considered. Highly recommended!
