We had a very uncomfortable stay at this hotel. The room was heavily scented — both the cleaning products and even the toilet paper had strong fragrances — which triggered allergies for us. For the price we paid, the overall quality really didn’t match our expectations.
On top of that, there was no hot water for the shower until we complained at the front desk. Basic things like hot water should be ready without guests having to ask.
Overall, the experience was disappointing, and we wouldn’t stay here again.

The location was good and had parking.
Very expensive and not worth the price. Booked for 4 people and there were only 2 towels. Also just 1 roll if toilet paper, it wasn’t enough. They also took all the towels from the room on the day of the check-out hours before we checked out. Not enough water pressure at the sink, hard to wash hands or teeth. For the price of the stay the breaksfast should have been included.

The location of the hotel was good, being a few blocks from the city, and bus station etc. However, the hotel is on a hill at an incline so you must be reasonably fit and mobile for the walk back from the sites
Upon a reservation, a month earlier, I was asked to pay upfront for my entire 10 days stay upon booking, with no other options provided. One my first night, I was placed in a small room with a huge bathroom with lots of noise from the car parking lot. There is no soundproofing. I asked to change my room, and the noise improved. However my bed sheets were not changed for several days. The bed cover has stains on it as did the pillows from the previous occupants. The tap and shows did not operate properly and were full of limescale. There were days where there was hardly any water on the taps and shower. The hotel is cleaned to a poor standard. There stains and water marks all over the bathroom, taps and shows heads at the end of their life. The beds can be hit or miss, when I moved room there was a better bed. There is no fridge! When asked I was provided with a wine cooler where a temperature could not be changed. The terrace is small and overlooks the parking lot. I did not see any guests use it, as you would block the walk way between rooms. The pictures of the condition l, terrace and bathrooms are very misleading. While having a restaurant, from day 2 onwards I was told there was nothing for breakfast that could be ordered, as they run out of things. When I did get breakfast two days of my stay, I had to remind the staff to bring the rest of the items that was part of my order, ie the menu would say fruit with yogurt and granola, but I was only served fruit ! The manager has no customer service skills, she makes you feel like you’re inconveniencing her. You may ask, why I continued to stay. In short, I had already paid upfront (a ridiculous price for the standard the hotel was) and during the high season it’s impossible to find other hotels. I believe overcharged and the information shared with me about direct day rates when asked, was manipulated so I do not raise a case with booking.com

We liked this hotel very much, the layout of the hotel was interesting the room was comfortable and the staff treat us very well. Also we could park our car in front of our room, so it felt very safe.

The staff were lovely, very friendly and did their best to make us feel welcomed and comfortable.
There was a lot of little things that we had to ask for e.g, there was no hot water in the shower, the pillows were massive (they did get us smaller ones after asking), the ceiling light was flashing when turned on. If you’re a light sleeper try to get a room not directly on the street as it can be very loud.

Booking was cancelled without us knowing
The lady in reception was nice and helped as much as she could.
The hotel cancelled our reservation without letting us know. We arrived at the property and were told there was no reservation under that name, the poor lady behind the desk could not get hold of the manager and was confused as I showed her the booking confirmation and everything. She finally got hold of someone who said that they had cancelled our reservation due to us not paying, even though on Booking.com it said we would pay at the property and I was never told to pay beforehand otherwise we would have. Terrible to not even let us know that our reservation was cancelled

nothing, the housekeeper was lovely and house senior, They charged us 27,000 pesos for six nights. There was a sheet on the couch in the lobby, there were no washcloths it was like a Motel 6 in the United States for 7000 pesos that’s $350 a day day

The location of the hotel was very central and close to all the main attractions of Oaxaca City, and the staff were friendly.
The parking spot is extremely hard to get to and you may get trapped in by other guests parking there, the bed was very hard and uncomfortable - unfortunately providing a not-so-pleasant sleep. The doorbell to enter the hotel gets disruptive during the night and early hours - suggestion to provide guests with a key to enter at their own will or a swipe card. The hotel is also on a main road, which if you leave your windows open, you can hear all the buses and cars drive past. It is evident that money has been spent on soundproofing the rooms - which is great.

excellent quality rooms well worth the price
I loved my stay here. the owner was a very accommodating and friendly lady. I asked to switch rooms because my room was by the street and street noise bothered me. She showed me 3 other rooms and I chose one that was quiet in the interior. The room is excellent and upscale at this price point with TV, stable wifi (40-60Mbps), air-conditioning, comfy bed and linens, fragrant soaps. it is located on a hill so you will get a fair workout. I ordered Uber Eats delivery and the owner was nice enough to accept my order when it arrived at the front door and even provided me with glass plates and silverware for my meal. I definitely will return if i'm back in Oaxaca. The only con was I noticed the hot water seemed to be turned off between 11pm and 630am so I couldn't shower during those times, but other than that the overall experience was very positive.

Fantastic hotel to explore Oaxaca and work for a week.
The staff was great and very accommodating with my request for a room near the wifi router, and I was able to work and take video calls with no problem. Room was very clean and property was quiet even though it was only 3 blocks from Santo Domingo. I would definitely recommend and stay again!

It was a charming family operated hotel. Beautiful court yard. Charming parrot living on site with beautiful song. There are two adorable floppy eared bunnies that live in the courtyard as well. The property was well kept, very well cleaned daily, the staff didn’t speak English but we communicated well with translators. The owner called me a cab to the airport when leaving after my fourth night. Strong enough internet for zoom calls.
The only thing missing for me was a pool. This hotel was a real 💎

The hotel is beautiful! We had a large room with a large bathroom. The TV, internet, and air conditioning were first rate. The hotel is spotless! The manager and staff were friendly and helpful. You can see Santo Domingo Church from the hotel. You can walk everywhere. We would return.

La atención es bastante buena, las atenciones son agradables desde la entrada y el proceso fue rápido para el check in y check out.
El acceso al estacionamiento es preocupante, ya que la pendiente no tiene la suficiente area de maniobra, aparte de ser pequeño, aunque llevé camioneta, si alcanza a rozar con la avenida al salir, en el tema de la habitación, la presión en el lavabo es muy baja y en la regadera, se salía el agua por las juntas, lo cual terminaba por salpicar el baño, creo que las toallas, podrían ser más suaves.

Arquitectura y Ambiente: Es una casona antigua preciosa que captura perfectamente la esencia, el estilo de vida y la arquitectura tradicional de Oaxaca. El patio interior y los detalles coloniales crean una atmósfera muy auténtica y acogedora.
Ubicación Estratégica: La ubicación es inmejorable. Estás a pasos de los puntos turísticos más importantes, lo que permite recorrer el centro caminando sin problemas.
Habitación Confortable: Me sorprendió gratamente el tamaño de la habitación; era amplia y espaciosa, algo no siempre común en hoteles antiguos. El baño estaba en muy buenas condiciones y el aire acondicionado era totalmente funcional y silencioso, indispensable para el descanso.
Estacionamiento: Se agradece mucho que cuenten con estacionamiento gratuito en pleno centro.
Desayuno Decepcionante: Para estar en Oaxaca, una capital gastronómica, el desayuno no fue nada espectacular. Sentí que la relación calidad-precio de los alimentos no estaba justificada; esperaba algo con más sabor local o variedad.
Acceso al Estacionamiento: Aunque es gratuito, es un gran desafío. La entrada es complicada por la altura y la estrechez del espacio. Definitivamente se necesita un conductor experimentado y muchas maniobras; si llevas una camioneta grande, vas a sufrir un poco.
Precio Elevado: Entiendo que visitamos en temporada alta (Día de Muertos) y los precios suben, pero aun así, el costo se sintió elevado para la categoría real del hotel y los servicios que ofrece fuera de la habitación.

La chambre et les fenêtres donnaient sur un couloir, et donc la chambre n'offre aucune intimité et est sombre.
J'ai demandé de changer de chambre. Ils voulaient me charger un supplément pour cela. Le personnel n'étaient pas aimable. J'ai quitté l'hotel. Je suis allé dans un autre hotel. Mais ils m'ont chargé la chambre que je n'ai pas utilisée.
Ils ont refusé d'annuler le paiement que je venais de faire par carte bancaire. Je me suis sentie volée.
Hotel horrible. À ne jamais y revenir !!!!!!!!!! Dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de ZERO dans la note à atribuer...
