About this villa rental
The villa is set between the two liveliest agglomerations of the island. You can stroll through the main streets to enjoy seafood and Thai and European dishes in fine restaurants, shop in the shops and enjoy a vibrant nightlife
The villa with a surface of 400 m² overlooks 100 m² of terrace and infinity pool for a total area of 500 m².
It is located at an altitude of 130 m above sea level. With a beautiful breathtaking 180 ° view, day and night, on the hills and Chaweng Bay and the beach of Coral Cove which is about 400 m away.
The interior spaces are largely open to the outside. A large living/dining room, an infinity pool, the terrace is the ideal point for dining and spending evenings above the sea.
From the car park, on the mountain side, you enter directly into the living / dining room with its kitchen area. This set of 100 m² fully equipped to accommodate 10 people overlooking the terrace and infinity pool with perspective the Gulf of Siam, Chaweng Bay, further the island of Koh Phangan. On the right the master bedroom greatly open on the Gulf of Siam and the bathroom make a perfect set to enjoy the sunrise.

My partner and our five adult children stayed at the villa for a fortnight in July. The views from the villa are spectacular, the villa itself really lovely, kept very clean and well-equipped, and Jean-Lois, our host, was exceptionally charming and extremely helpful. Just one or two things to be beware of:
- properties in Koh Samui are built on high ground (to get the views). This villa was no exception, which also means you need to hire a car fit for purpose. We had to change up our original rental car the second day we were there for one with a powerful enough engine to make it up and down the very steep hill for the fortnight!
- there is building work going on all over Koh Samui, at all times of the day. I would recommend checking in with your host what the current state of play is regarding any work in close proximity for the period of your stay.
- our arrival instructions were a bit scant, so fyi, when you take the Sandalwood Resort road off the main road, keep going up, and up, and up (remember the need for that powerful engine...) until you see a blue sign for 'The Blue Ginger' restaurant on the left-hand side. Turn left here and continue to the end (you'll feel like you're going to drive off into nowhere!) and there you are...
- finally, watch out for the dogs - lovely, friendly and totally harmless, but we suspect they have a liking for trainers since a whole pair of ours disappeared, one trainer at a time... :)
