Located on the charming little Greek island of Meganissi, a short 40 minute hop across the sea from the island of Lefkada, Villa Taphian is beautiful stone built villa which benefits from a modern, stylish interior and a large terrace with a private pool. The villa is just a 5 minute walk from the charming fishing village of Vathy where you can sample the day's catch at seafood restaurants or relax with a drink and watch the fishing boats come and go. Vathy is also a popular sailing hub in the summer and so there is also a relaxed but vibrant atmosphere emanating from the decks of the moored yachts. Just a couple of minutes away by car you will find Katomeri, known for its traditional architecture and delicious local tavernas and the beautiful Fanari Beach is only 5 minutes drive from the villa. Also located in the small cluster of villas as Villa Taphian you will find Villa Mentes and Villa Akoni, which are identical in style and layout. Smoking - not allowed. Kindly close it afterwards as it keeps the local sheep and goats out. DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS FROM VATHY PORT TO VILLA TAPHIAN - approximately 5 minutes Please take care driving these roads and watch out for local wandering sheep and goats. 1. After collecting your car from Vathy port, turn LEFT out of the car park and follow the road past the supermarkets on the right-hand side of Vathy Square. You will get to a crossroad, turn right and follow the main road turning LEFT up a hill opposite the bakery. Follow this road up the hill (0.75km) until you reach Katomeri village. 2. You will get to a church on the left-hand side which is raised up from the road. Turn LEFT here, be careful because the road is quite narrow. Follow the road (0.45km) until you get to a T junction, take care on the road as there are a few pot holes. 3. At the junction turn LEFT up the hill and you will see 3 stone villas on the right-hand side, the middle villa is Villa Taphian, the gates will be open and you can park in the Villa parking area. If the gate is closed there is a twisting bolt on the right top corner of the gate. Open the bolt then slide the gate to the left. (The owners request that the gates are kept closed when you enter or leave the villa due to the odd wandering sheep or goat who love to eat flowers) Welcome to Villa Taphian!
