Flanked on both sides by attractive Victorian-period buildings, Westgate Terrace VI is tucked away on a quiet residential street in Earl's Court. Hidden from the hustle and bustle of London’s much busier districts, this charming two-bedroom home is set just below street level. Ideal for families with young babies or a small group of friends looking for a contemporary and convenient base to explore the city, the elegant districts of South Kensington and Chelsea are both within easy reach of this delightful city escape. For adventures a little further afield, the nearby West Brompton station is less than a ten-minute walk away. With crisp, clean lines and somewhat of a minimalist feel, the home’s modern interior is a striking contrast to the building’s traditional frontage. At its heart, a bright and airy sitting room overlooks the large private garden - a fabulous spot to sit out and enjoy the sunshine on warm afternoons and longer evenings of late spring and summer. While the sitting room is filled with vibrant splashes of colour, the master bedroom takes a more muted, soothing approach. Elegant and spacious, this lovely room boasts a super king-sized bed and an ensuite bathroom. Decorated with a collection of antique-style chinoiserie furnishings, the second bedroom comes complete with a king-sized bed.

Home Truths:

- This home doesn't have air-conditioning. Between june and september, we'll place fans in each bedroom. Please let us know if you'd like fans outside the summer period. One loveable dog occasionally stays in the home. They won't be around during your stay, but this home may not be suitable for people with allergies. There are stairs down to the entrance of this home on the lower-ground floor with no elevator. The staircase down to the entrance of this home could be considered as narrow and steep. There are external cctv cameras outside of this home, however, there are none inside. As this home is on the lower ground floor, some footstep noise can be heard from the apartment above. There is no window in the master bedroom, however there are double glass doors leading out to a lightwell and patio.

This was a very nice flat. The access is down a narrow unlit stair which could be a problem for some. It is very well appointed however we had some issues with the dishwasher that didn’t work and ultimately had to be replaced after our visit. The oven had to be repaired as well. The master bath is fine except there is no shower just a tub as described in the listing. There is a shower located off the main hall with a heated towel bar and a very small sink. There is no storage for personal toiletries and no toilet in this room. The toilet is in another room also off the main hall with the same sized very small sink and no place for toiletries. It also houses the washing machine but no dryer. The bedrooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and comfortable with plenty of storage. The living / dining / kitchen area is large with access to the pretty outside space. The sofa was covered with a blanket to hide a stained cushion. Communication with the manager was easy via text that seemed to be answered by different people. Management was also accommodating by sending a housekeeper and two technicians to deal with the dishwasher and oven. This is a nice flat but we've stayed in many that didn't have these issues.
