Foundry Cottages

Cottage was very clean and had all the facilities required to make a great weekend

We could not fault the accomodation at Foundry Cottages

It had everything we needed (& more) for a short stay and the shaded backyard was lovely on the hot summer days of our visit. It was also really nice to arrive and find the air conditioning already cooling the rooms.

IT was private and I could have catered for myself and spent more time at the house. But i had commitments in town and did not have the time. I did like them fact that there was e3very possible facilities from the air-con on when i arrived to the filtered water.

i did not need for anything

Place is very comfortable and the hosts have provided great little touches like breakfast cereal, fruit and yoghurt as well as filtered water. The main bedroom is very comfortable and is air conditioned and there are great places to relax around the house like the lounge room, little porch at the front as well as the well laid out back yard. The house bridges two generational eras. The front is charming Victorian is very well done. The back area with kitchen and lounge are sort of 1950-1960’s. This actually suits the area. House in very close to the big bottle (old water tower) and from there, close to wineries especially via all the bike paths. Nice and quiet. For the two days I stayed there; this was a very handy place to stay and a good change from a small motel room or some of the over priced tourist places.

Not really anything. The mid 20th century style may not be everyone’s taste but it does have its own charm and everything is clean, functional and in full working order.
