The 2-bedroom apartment in Nishiasakusa was ideally located close to many attractions. Senso-ji temple was 7 minutes by foot, and that was the main reason we chose the apartment. Other attractions close by were the Sumida River and Sumida Park, which would have been amazing with the cherry blossoms 🌸 and the oldest amusement park, Asakusa Hanayashiki, was also nearby. Tokyo Skytree was only a 15-20 minute bus ride away. There is also a Tourist Information Desk just 3 minutes walk away from the apartment, that is very handy. The apartment is a 15-minute walk from Iriya Station or Tawaramachi Station. These stations would get you to other areas like Ueno, Tokyo, Shibuya, etc. The apartment itself was spacious enough for 4 adults and 1 child. It is exactly as described in the listing. There is strong wifi and a television. The bathroom has a bath and shower. The toilet is separate from the shower and sink. There is a modern washing machine that can also dry clothes. Be careful as the heat can shrink certain materials/clothes. The kitchen was well-equipped, although we only used the grill and the microwave twice. The kettle and refrigerator were very useful. The bedrooms have balconies, and large closets that fit all our luggage in and more than enough hanging space. There were two keys for us to use and a key lock box for convenience. There is an elevator to get up to and down from the apartment. The apartment is in a very good neighbourhood and right next to a police station. There are countless restaurants, ramen shops, izakayas, konbinis everywhere in the area, so you are spoilt for choice and you will never go hungry. There is even a huge Don Quijote nearby. The only down-side is that the apartment is on a big road. It can get noisy in the mornings, so it may be difficult to sleep in. The host did provide ear plugs, so that was very considerate! I would stay at this apartment again if visiting and making Asakusa my home-base for exploration.
