Susha Happy One First Floor Apartment

We spent a wonderful month at Susha Happy One First Floor Apartment, and my husband and I absolutely loved everything.Why you should stay here: Exceptional Hospitality. The owners are incredibly kind and welcoming people. They helped us with everything: from arranging an airport transfer to delivering heavy water bottles right to our door. We happened to be there during the Tamil and Sinhalese New Year, and the hosts kindly invited us to try traditional sweets and treated us to a delicious home-cooked lunch the next day. Food and Drinks. You can always order food or fresh juice directly to your room. There is a menu available, and if you order a bit in advance, they will bring you the freshest homemade dishes. Comfortable Accommodation. The apartment is spacious, bright, and very clean. It has all the necessary kitchenware for cooking. There is no air conditioning, but the fans and open windows keep the temperature pleasant even at +32°C. Great Location. The house is located on a quiet street, so it’s very peaceful in the evening with no noise from the main road. The sea is close by, and there is a lagoon just a 3-minute walk away where you can swim or sunbathe on the pier. The walk to the lagoon or shops is very scenic: surrounded by bananas, mangoes, and lush greenery — a true aesthetic pleasure! Facilities. Household shops, fruit stalls, and basic groceries are within a 10-minute walk. A large supermarket is 1 km away (a 15-20 minute walk), and a very large shopping center is just a 10-minute tuk-tuk ride away.We had a truly heartwarming experience. This apartment is run by the most loving and caring couple I’ve ever met, and I travel a lot, so that’s saying something. I arrived super late (around 2am), and they were both there waiting for me, warmly welcoming me, showing me around, and making sure I had everything I needed. The space itself was spotless, everything worked perfectly, and the location was truly a gem, quiet, yet close to everything. They even took the time to drive me to a motorbike rental when I arrived, and kindly brought me back on my last day to return it. Beautiful space, even more beautiful people. I felt supported from beginning to end. Highly recommended.

We loved everything about the property. Some may say the location was a bit out of the way but it was walking distance to the beach and was easy enough to get a tuktuk to go to the busier areas. We prefer being tucked away a little.

There was nothing that we didn’t like. We were really happy with our stay.

Rooms have been renovated recently and the new decor is fresh clean and very pleasing and comfortable.
