Very friendly hosts who made tasty breakfast for us, were hospitable and arranged a car to Horton Plains as well as Ambewela station. When we ran into the hosts at the supermarket, they offered to take us back home. The bed was very comfortable and the shower pressure was decent. Handy that we could put some stuff in the fridge and could use the kitchen to heat up our food in the microwave and eat it there too. The free snacks upon arrival were a cute bonus.
For this price (quite higher than average so far) we hoped for a bigger room and some more storage space. We had to get creative in storing our stuff in the bedroom and bathroom since there weren't many shelves or hooks. The wifi was glitchy. Laundry service (of course for a fee) and some seats on the balcony would have been nice. Of course we'd already seen the distance to the center but the area itself really wasn't nice. Fortunately tuktuks were easily available.
