Countryside 3 Bed Detached Cottage

We appreciated the friendly message from the owners before arrival and the fact that tea, coffee and cooking essentials were provided. The provision of fans in the bedrooms and the fact they had thought to close window blinds and make the beds up with just duvet covers, due to the hot weather, was also appreciated. We found the property to be very homely, clean and comfortable. It is in a lovely quiet location, with countryside all around and lovely views, but not far from supermakets and town centre in Wooton Bassett. The spacious kitchen was very well equipped with a large fridge and modern hob. I loved the clever tap on the sink with pull out hose! Useful to have a downstairs toilet, too. Beds were comfy and showers were good. My elderly father-in-law appreciated having the room with the en suite, including shower, and without the extra step to the other bedrooms from the bathroom.

The message about the keys hadn't said where the keybox was, though we soon found it behind the gate after a short hunt - at least it was still light. We couldn't find a WiFi code or a folder with any info inside the property - I'm sure we could have rung the owners to ask, but as we were only there for the weekend and out all day visiting family, we didn't bother. There wasn't room to manoeuvre our large car on the short, steep driveway, but as it's such a quiet road there was no problem reversing out. We were missing a draining board or rack by the sink in the kitchen.

Beautiful cottage with everything you need and was in a perfect location for us. Phil (the host) was incredibly helpful and kind and ensured we had everything needed for our little boy, even returning his baby towel to us which I had forgotten to pack upon leaving! It was a really lovely family stay

Great cottage in a peaceful location. Felt homely and had everything we needed. Good size kitchen with dining table for 6. Cosy lounge with two very comfortable sofas. Beds were comfortable in all rooms. The main bathroom had a large shower and bath. One double bedroom had an ensuite and there was a downstairs toilet as well. Didn't make use of the garden but it was a good size. Great communication with the proprietor.
