Spice of Ceylon

Da wir mit dem Fahrrad angereist sind, war die Lage für uns optimal und lag direkt auf unserer Route. Die Zimmer waren sehr groß und komfortabel. Sehr schönes Bad . Die Terrasse vor dem Zimmer mit Blick in den Garten und auf das Meer war malerisch schön. Der Pool war absolut sauber und für uns groß genug. Wir haben uns Abends direkt dort ein typisches Landesessen bestellt, welches geschmacklich und Qualitativ sehr gut war. Ebenso das Frühstück was mit Obst und verschiedenen Rotis usw. mehr als ausreichend war. Klasse fanden wir auch, das es Wasser gekühlt gab und dieses in Glasflaschen und nicht in Plastik serviert wurde. Personal war wirklich freundlich. Wir konnten unsere Fahrräder auf die Terrasse stellen.

Fällt uns nichts ein, würde wieder buchen

Lovely clean rooms and hosts are fantastic and always happy to help. The beach is beautiful and still lovely for swimming in the morning. Food was nice.

We did chose accommodation for pool relax before leaving Sri Lanka and unfortunately one day this was being used by local Muslim family with fully dressed women swimming so was not comfortable to swim with swimsuits at the same time. Wifi is not good at this accommodation. With limited use of pool we didn’t think property was good value.

We came as guests and left as friends...anstatt 2 Tagen blieben wir 7...wir kamen uns vor wie in einer Oase in diesen heißen Tagen - es gab einen herrlichen Pool in einem wunderschön gepflegten Garten. Und da waren da noch Elisabeth und Max, die beiden Seelen des Hauses...

Auch wenn ich noch so lange nachdenke...

The building itself is beautiful. Well crafted and grand in design. The lawn area at the front of the building was well kept. The balcony had a beautiful view of the ocean, and it was lovely falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The staff were phenomenal, extremely friendly and hospitable. The highlight of our trip was the home cooked meal that they went out of their way to prepare for us, even though we were the only guest staying at the hotel. I am an ex chef and I was extremely impressed with the food. Best meal that we’ve had in Sri Lanka actually.

We are traveling in low season and as a result, it transpired that we were the only guests at the time of our visit. Due to low season, I expect that the staff numbers were reduced and as a result, the property was maybe not as clean and well kept as it usually is. The pool had algae. The location is also very remote. There was nothing to do here other than stay at the hotel and relax which is what we did.
