Magnolia Hotel

It is a beautiful property and very convenient and walkable to downtown.

Can’t think of anything that we didn’t like about the property or the proprietor. Nothing to do about the property or the staff but some of the restaurants are not open every day.

Great help from the receptionist! The room we booked turned out to be very small with so-so bathroom. I asked if they could improve that as it did not meet our expectations. Got an upgrade to a much larger room with walk-in shower and no extra charge. We recommend asking for a large room and not the standard on as it will be small.

Breakfast is continental, not full on breakfast. Nice stuff though.

Loved decor! So many places to sit & enjoy coffee or wine.

Was billed as wheelchair accessible & it is definitely NOT. The host transferred us to first floor room as opposed to on 2nd floor. But bathroom does not accommodate a w/c.

Every corner of the Magnolia hotel is lovely. The design aesthetic is fantastic. The kitchen had everything we needed--full-size fridge, storage, coffee, knives and cutting boards, cups and glasses. The room was sweet looking. The bathroom was roomy and nice. Shower pressure was great. Breakfast in the morning is good, you help yourself to yogurt, eggs, toast, granola, oatmeal, hard-boiled eggs and coffee. There are sitting areas outdoors to hang out and the living room is a nice place to visit too. Location is great.

The breakfast could use some fine tuning. The Keurig coffee maker is Very Loud and I bet the rooms nearby the kitchens are woken up by early risers. I'd love an option to eat downstairs instead. Our bed was the worst of our 18-day trip. Very uncomfortable and it shook anytime someone moved even the slightest. (My partner and I argued which was worse!) I have a feeling that if we booked this night direct we would have had a better room. (A women staying upstairs said her bed was great. We were downstairs. Rm 103.)
