Located inside the upscale gated community of Big Canoe, (one hour driving north from Atlanta), the house offers access to prime amenities: hiking trails, golfing, fishing, marina, Beach Club, swimming, Fitness Center, tennis and more.
Overlooking Lake Disharoon the house offers stunning views over the mountains and golf course with the forest and lake at the back door.
The house has 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms.
The outdoor spaces offers:
Netted terrace located on the entry level floor with access from the living room. It is perfect for lounging and dining. Features mushroom shaped mango wood dining table, 2 rocking Amish chairs with side table.
Outdoor terrace overlooking the lake and forest located on the entry level floor and accessed from the netted terrace. Features BBQ, prep table, 7 pieces patio furniture with fire pit table.
Partially covered patio and the ground floor with direct access to the forest, lake, beach, wellness center and hiking trails. Ping pong table available
Living Room
Located on the entry level. Offers a stunning view to the lake, mountains, forest, golf course fairways. Cozy sitting area by the fireplace with green leather sofa, armchair and ottomans. Excellent for conversations and lounging by the fireplace while enjoying the outside view. 55" Samsung UHD TV with bluetooth Surround system .
Dining Area
Located on the entry level, incorporated in the living room. Features wide solid wood dining table with sitting benches and chairs. The dining table can be extended to seat 16.
Kitchen
Located on the entry level, incorporated in the living room with an open plan. Fully equipped kitchen with all basic necessary items. Pots and pans, crockery, serving dishes, crystal glasses and wine glasses, coffee and expresso maker etc
Bedroom 1 (Bird Room)
Located on top floor has 1 king size bed, night stands, walk in closet, bathroom shared with kid's room
Bedroom 2 (Kid's room)
Located on the top floor. Has an open floor space, 2 bunk beds twin over full. Direct access to bathroom
Bedroom 3 (Master Bedroom)
Located on the entry level floor. Has 1 king size bed, night stands, dresser, closet, ensuite bathroom with double sinks and whirlpool tub. Amazing view of the forest and lake
Bedroom 4 (Tree Room)
Located on the ground level. Has 1 king size bed, night stands, love seat, en suite bathroom with 2 ways to access (from bedroom and game room) View to the ground floor patio
Bedroom 5 (Canoe Room)
Located on the ground level. Has 1 king size bed, night stands, closet, ensuite bathroom, electric fireplace. View to the forest and lake.
Game Room
Located on the ground floor. Features Pool Table, Electronic Dartboard, 65"HD Samsung TV with Bluetooth Surround System 5.1, Leather sofa and sitting area with side tables.
Whole house available.
Located in the center of Big Canoe, inside the lovely Laurel Ridge private community, the house is easy to access. Walking distance to Wellness Center, beach, outdoor pool and short driving distance to the Black Bear Pub inside the Club House, Post Office, Marina and all attractions.
The house is equipped with a special needs stairs chair lift in between the entry level and ground floor. In order to use, please notify us prior to your arrival so we can activate for you.
NO OUTDOOR FIRES
Outdoor fires not fueled by propane are not permitted in Big Canoe; violators are subject to a $5,000 fine.
NO FEEDING WILDLIFE
Please do not feed the bears, deer or any wild animals. As Big Canoe is a nature preserve, feeding wildlife is prohibited; violators are subject to a $5,000 fine.
WILDLIFE IS PROTECTED
Hunting, trapping, wounding, or killing wildlife is not permitted.
QUIET HOURS
Big Canoe has a strict 10 p.m. noise restriction. No noise should be heard past the property line after 10 p.m. Exterior lighting shall be turned off when not in use.
STREET PARKING
Street parking should not block rescue and fire engine access. Overnight street parking is prohibited except on approved parking pads adjacent to the road.

Absolutely one of the best Cabins/Houses we have stayed at in all the years of traveling! This place was very clean and welcoming! It was extremely quiet and safe! The trail access from the back was perfect for a daily hike. We did several of the trails and enjoyed the peacefulness of nature!! The restraunts around the area were great also and the Lowes food store had plenty of local options! We took a trip over to Helen, Ga and it was a short day trip which was a neat jaunt out of the community!! Would highly recommend this place and we hope to be coming back during the warmer months to see all the different activities offered then as well!!! Veronica was an absolute pleasure to work with and had some awesome suggestions. She never seemed bothered by any of our questions and always responded promptly!! You will not be disappointed in staying here!!

We were 6 women celebrating holidays and enjoying the mountains. The house is in a great location in Big Canoe. The bedrooms and baths were perfect for 6 women. The house is very comfortable for us. It had plenty of amenities, was described exactly as said and very comfortable. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We shall return!

Five 55+ ladies spent the weekend at this beautiful Big Canoe property. We loved having our own rooms, and most of us had our own bathrooms. The whole house was thoughtfully appointed with quality linens, bath products and a well-equipped kitchen. The gas fireplace gave a cozy feeling, and we also enjoyed the outdoor firepit. The property has access to the Big Canoe amenities (restaurant, indoor pool, hot tub, sauna, etc. for $20 daily fee), but we did not take advantage of those. Our hosts were extremely attentive, answering our messages promptly and taking a phone call to answer a question when we arrived. We enjoyed our trip tremendously.

The house was lovely, well-organized and spotless. The owner was responsive and quick. The only major issue was a cooling problem but I'm not sure if we didn't know how to work the thermostat properly. Bottom line is the main floor and basement were very hot with temperatures reaching 80 degrees. The owner was notified but said it was a new unit and suggested we use a portable fan. It was not remotely sufficient to cool the main living area and multiple bedrooms. Absent the cooling issue, I would have given five stars but frankly, everyone in my family was dissapointed by the problem.
