Escape the city - Relax with family and friends and get away from it all at Serendipity House. An older style home, charming and comfortable. Situated on 2 acres and a short walk (1.5km) into Swanpool. Swanpool is a small rural community between Benalla and Mansfield. It boasts a local store/cafe, The SWANPOOL CINEMA (1950s style cinema) Petrol Station, Antiques (on Sundays) and a sports ground.
Explore the beautiful high country. Close to Lake Nillahcootie, Mount Samaria, The Strathbogie Ranges, Mansfield and Benalla.
Take a tour of the local wineries or just relax on the veranda and enjoy the natural beauty of the local surrounds.
Serendipity house is your home away from home. We often spend relaxing days here too, enjoying the beautiful surroundings. We are happy to share our modest, old style home with you.
There are 5 bedrooms. Room 1 - Queen size bed. Room 2 - Queen size bed. Room 3 - Queen bed and a single sofa bed (child size) Room 4 - Queen bed and 2 singles. Room 5 - Queen size bed, Double bed, Double sofa bed and 1 single sofa bed (child size). We have 2 bathrooms. One modern styled, with shower, vanity, tastic heater and toilet. The second bathroom is an older style, with bath, shower and vanity. We provide all towels and bed linen.
In the laundry space we have a Bosch front load washer and laundry sink. There is a dryer provided in the bathroom and a hills hoist outside. There is a second toilet off the laundry area.
The living area has seating for 8/10 people and the lounge area has 2 arm chairs a 2 seater sofa and a 2 1/2 seat sofa bed. For entertainment, there is a TV and apple box.
The lounge area has a split system with heating and cooling for your comfort.
There is gas ducted heating and cooling throughout the home.
Our older style, kitchen has electric cooking, with hot plates and an elevated oven. There is an original old combustion stove which we have kept as a feature and reminder of times gone by. It is non functional.
All cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, glasses, kettle, teapot and a coffee pod machine are provided. We also provide basic pantry items, tea, coffee, sugar, milk, salt and pepper.
There is a fridge/freezer just outside the kitchen and a cosy sunroom, to read or rest.
The backyard can be secured and provides an area where children can play under the watchful eye of their parents. Children must be supervised at all times. The back deck has seating for a large group, a table and barbecue. Enjoy the country life, while cooking up a feast on the bbq.
Our front veranda has comfy seating for 6, so sit back, relax and unwind.
Guests have full access to the house, allocated bedrooms ( according to group size) and outside area.
There is no access to sheds on the property.
We like to give you your privacy when you stay, but can be contacted if the need arises.
